I got a couple of hate messages against me, but I don’t seem to care.
I like messaging the people who beat me pretty bad and I send them some polite comment. It helps me improve on what I did wrong when I lose. haha

There’s a lot of hypocrisy in this thread, people saying how nice we should be online, then talking about the “Shitty fucking scrubs” that they beat. What’s the difference?
I beat a guy pretty badly who’s name I will not use, because that’d probably be embarrassing for him. Instead of hate, I got a message saying '“you are very good”. He ended up asking to add me and we’ve played every day since.
Unrelated, but I was also at a gaming thing today in which I won a shirt. Basically they had arcade cabs and 3 wins in a row = shirt. I stayed for about 30 games without losing before I went home , and only one guy seemed remotely pissed that I beat him. All these guys were terrible, but they weren’t assholes, which makes me think that being a scrub/noob has nothing to do with hate mail or anything like that.(wow, rly?)

I don’t see hypocrisy. I see a few people talking about scrubs. And I see a few people talking about etiquette. They just happen to be in the same thread.
And, even if they were, it’s not necessarily hypocritical when the scrubs are the ones not being nice online. Online, I’m either very courteous or completely quiet/neutral, and I’d expect everyone to be the same. But if some scrubby asshole messaged me slurs because I beat him, calling him an scrubby asshole isn’t hypocritical.
So yesterday while the friend I was doing player matches with took a lunch break, I hopped into a lobby for a ranked match and immediately heard, “Yo dawg who you pickin’?” After my brain readjusted itself I said, “Uh Rose… who YOU pickin’?” To which he replied, “Aiite just as long as it ain’t Bison. That dude is cheap.”
So I’m ready, he’s ready, I pick Rose, he picks Sagat, and I’m already dreading the uphill battle when I hear “You better not be a grabber.” My do few more mental pirouettes and I manage to mumble, “Whatever it takes to win. It’s not easy to get close enough to Sagat to grab him anyways.” “Yeah you sound like a grabber,” he sneers and the match begins.
Over the course of the match I’m too busy jumping over high Tiger Shots with Fierce into cr. Strong xx Soul Spiral to bother with throwing him. Finally, in the final round I smack him with a psychic Soul Throw for the win only to hear, “Yeah, I knew you were a grabber.” I say “gg” and for some reason, the 58(?) bp I earned was extra delicious.
last night, i played this n00b, i picked my boi bison, then he picked him as well, i whoped his ass with two perfect rounds, then he send me a message: you are nothing but a fucking n00b.

Just had my first ragequitter not to long ago. I didn’t really blame him. He was a newer player, and in one of our later matches I was playing ken and got him with a fa into ken’s target combo into the shoryuken… canceled that into his super… and hit him with the ultra as he landed. It was was like an 18 hit combo and the ultra barely took any life but he still had to watch his poor guy get juggled for about a minute it seemed.
I havent got an hatemail although I do suck pretty bad.
The worst I’ve gotten was when I was playing a dude on xblive in ranked today, he was talking to his friend in the background during our match telling him “throwing is some pussy ass shit” after I just accidentally threw him. I was playing mediocre and he beat me our first match, when I know I should have beat him, so I went in his new lobby and proceeded to throw the everliving shit out of him. Which of course caused him to call me pussy, bitch, and *** over and over again through his mic during the match. At least I got my BP’s back. Also this may seem like a dick move but if anyone happens to mention over their mic that some is “cheap” or a “bitchmove”, I’m going to do it over and over again.
The only hate mail I got was someone msg me saying that “Gen Totally sucks, you should pick someone who is not cheap” I just responded simply by saying “You are a Big Fool” and hit the blacklist.

It was one of them silly Kens that failed to realize jumping over my Sakura’s hadoken equals swift shoryuken to the face and continued to do it over and over for two rounds.
My first hate mail was epic fail 
I played a bit today and for some reason on one of my few wins today (People must be getting better, first time I played online last week I made off with 22 wins out of 55 matches…) I got this hatemail. I don’t remember what language it is, but I know I’ve seen the word somewhere before, think it means ‘Go die’ or something. The mail was just a single word, ‘mamao’
BLAH, I used to have to hold myself back from punching a hole in the screen when I lost in alpha and he said that shit >_<
Whenever i play Ken, they’re all the same hadouken till i jump in range, then dragon punch, and that’s it. I just grab them after the dragon punch, they inevitably lose and i get messages saying stop spamming the same moves scrub.
