It’s quite the opposite. They have followed the way of decreasing hitboxes and extending hurtoxes. But a few supers, such as Hulk’s gamma crush from MSH, have old-style hitboxes, sort of like CPS-1 Blanka’s neutral RH.

If you are going to argue this, you have to first define the definition of anime. For example to most, anime is a drawing/animation style while others define anime also by location, story and context. Take the show Avatar the last airbender, by some viewers it was an anime due to its drawing style. However other groups of it’s watchers felt it was not an anime at all due to the fact it was made in America, not Japan.
If you can’t define exact what makes one product an anime and another not an anime then you can’t really argue the point. In my opinion Street fighter does have hints of Anime styling within it. However who is to discern the difference when the game itself is produced in Japan where the anime style is most prevalent.
Honestly I can hardly see why it matters if a game is anime or not. While I do care about the aesthetics what matters the most is the gameplay and the community behind the game, without that a game isn’t even worth playing.
Ain’t nothing anime about dudes with 0% body fat, huge muscles, exaggerated facial expressions, flaming uppercuts, and shooting plasma from one’s hands. Nothing anime at all.

1: I haven’t taken this post too seriously, I have just used it as a chance to explain to those who are genuinely interested the black and white definitions and those shades in between.
It was not only regarding this thread but all the questions closely related.
There are arguments at the moment that affect the future of how games I play will be developed, I’m not opposing anyones arguments but peoples are basing there facts and pointing there fingers in the wrong direction.
2: Becuase people seem to spend more time posting about other peoples posts rather than contributing anything worth while, I had to cover myself from every angle to get a point across, when I am just coated for the length f the post thats a sucess in my book. Im sure the spelling was bad too.
3: People can get lonely, so to be able to feel part of a group with common interests it’s easy to see someone being ridiculed as away of bonding with others, by joining in you can feel that you have friends.
4: You will find in real life that people are not standing outside book shops especialy when the author has come to sign there books, so that you can say I never read your book.
5: I don’t care if you have read my post or not, but the fact that you feel that others care, is worrying.
6: Was you all trying to offend me or make friends with other insecure cyber bullies. I know by replying that you will get a sense of staisfaction that you may have got to me. You have made me curious as to why you would waste time to say nothing, yeah I wrote along post, but I had something to say. It’s a shame you have nothing to say.
