What made you main Bison?

The purple flame of course…But most of the time I’m using s.mk and s.hk…And the PC is full of holes…Disappointed

I only use evil buff characters

He’s always freakin’ smiling.
Entrance= -_- , :smiley:
Beat the guy with a normal? >:D
Beat the guy with a super? >:D
Beat the guy with an ultra? >:D
Beat the guy with a throw? >:D

Win? :open_mouth: :expressionless:

  1. I’m a sucker for characters with cool uniforms. Bison + Heidern from KOF are the shit.
  2. I like to mash buttons.
  3. Listening to Bison go “HUWAH” all day while spamming scissor kicks warms my soul.

he doesn’t change facial expression. it’s true…

Because in the beginning he was easy to win with, and success is addicting.

Also, cvs2.

A week after vanilla came out i got 5th place at a tournament doing nothing but devils reverse/headstomp mixups…so i just stuck with him. That and his ultra 1 start up animation ( Cuts throat while yelling “scream in pain”) gets me hype!

I was looking for a character that would allow me to just do whatever I want and not have to think at all.

Standing roundhouse.

Also, I mained him in ST.

He is one of my favorite characters since back in the day with the original SFII. Even more so with his badass SF Alpha incarnation.

Not that he would be, but i’d still play him even if he were crappy.

wait until you fight high level players…

He was dumb easy so I mained him in vanilla. Also DAT psycho smile.

Yeah, that’s kinda what got me too. Being 100s of miles away from an SF4 arcade machine before the console releases, all I had was youtube videos to decide who I was going to try to main. For some reason knocking shit out of the air with Bison’s pimp leg just looked awesome to me. That plus constant head stomping (back before everyone knew to just walk backwards and punish) and safe lk scissors .

Watching Free1up on youtube when vanilla first came out lol

because he smiles like a boss

Bison made me main Bison. Under pain of death.

Fighting a good Deejay is not exactly easy until you manage to walk his ass in the corner and camp at footsie range. His big weakness is the fact his ground pokes are really mediocre. As you found out though his big strength is that you just don’t jump on him.

This assumes the Dee Jay in question will retreat. But played effectively, Dee Jay can make constant advanaces behind his projectile that can rob you of space and switch you to defense. Bison just has too many gaps in his game. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the beginning and end of it. Lots of characters have ridiculous assets in all situations, some don’t, and they suffer for it.

Oh look, another Bipson thread spiraling into complaints about the character. Does the M in M. Bison stand for “Miserable?”

Clearly. Coming 2nd and 5th at two different recent regionals, blessings of Jakob/Happy Meds and Neurosis respectively. Let’s drop him now!
