Good fireballs. No, EX Hadouken doesn’t count. Even if parry weren’t in the game, his fireball SUCKS in 3S.
I really like A2 Ryu, personally. SF4 and HDR Ryu get honorable mentions.

In terms of move set, definitely Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for me. Ryu’s just sick in that game because of all the long and fun combos he can do.
Tatsunoko Ryu is tempting, but 3S Denjin Ryu is simply the shit.

I like SF4 Ryu the most.
I’m going to have to go with A2 as my favourite Ryu. In A2, I played him more than I did most any other character other than Akuma. I just liked how he played in general; felt more natural to me. 3S was good too, but that’s probably my second. That’s as far as I’m willing to go. I’m not that fucking indecisive.
Sprite: CvS2 (Besides the weird fist pump victory pose.) Gameplay: A2 Ryu, he is a lot of fun.

HF Ryu looks like he’s wearing pajamas. Air tatsu cancel was cool though.
SF4 would have been higher on my list but he’s got unusually large arms for his build IMO, and he has weird eyes. Oh and I hate that you can’t cancel his c.hk.

HF Ryu. Easily the most fun character to play in that game.
Awe for the sprite… it’s gotta be NxC Ryu. If for nothing else but the crazy over the top muscular arms.
