What is your favorite version of Ryu?

SF Alpha2 Ryu and SFIII:3rd strike for me.

I love to use his chains and custom combos in A2
In Sf3 His EX "Side Kick and his EX Hurricanes really made it frustrating for others.

I like A2 Ryu personally, for reasons already mentioned. Other than that, he just felt like ryu should feel, he was well rounded and upper tier but not brain dead simple.

The donkey kick is admittedly hot fire though.

My favorite sprite design would have to be CVS2 Ryu, but my personal favorite moveset would have to be 3S Ryu. That particular design does everything right IMO.

There are probably too many notable versions of Ryu to make a poll of it.

3S Ryu is a lot more popular than I thought. I could never get behind him not having fireball zoning anymore. I played Makoto and Hugo instead.

My favourite to play is ST Ryu. He has a good fireball and DP, a great super and some decent links. I love moving around using f+HP and LK tatsu, something that isn’t really effective in other games. Having the ability to fake fireball in HDR is even better.
