im gonna have to say the HF is the purest SF game ever made. there is no bullshit random luck 1 hit comeback. there is no bullshit get beat the fuck up and get some crazy ultra meter. there is just mindgames, zoning, and real SF played how the game was meant to be. everything after this game is just a bunch of crap and all these supers and shit added were just a form of eye candy to attract the not so hard core players into the community. sorry for being a bit harsh, just telling it like it is.
And that’s that.
[/thread]
I don’t give a shit what you enjoy, just stop bitching about how you care for zoning and strategy when you sound like a scrub who could never get good in modern SF games. 3s has more zoning and mind games, but why bother telling this to you if you don’t even play it.
Rainbow Edition.
Screw options.
End Thread.
shut up nerd
Sf3, or 4. 2’s a turd with dumbass robot jumps and bentass throws
thats not a balanced fighter. Thats called, the game hasn’t been out for 10 years and so the matchups are a bit new to every player. Wait till the scene has 10 years to play sf4 and watch certain characters dominate.
There’s so much wrong with sf4. Scrubby ass ultra BS, wide reversal window, jumping takes forever, long ass stages and that encourages turtle-ing due to walk speeds. How the fuck can anyone say sf4 is good. As soon as you start losing, the game gives you this “ultra” tool that allows you to make a comeback after you get your ass kicked. I don’t think many of you newer players understand that winning mind game rotations is how you can establish a huge life lead. If I have to win 4 mind game rotations and properly execute out, why should the person getting his ass kicked only have to win 1 mind game rotation to even it back up? what was the point of me winning 4 mind game exchanges? They need to get rid of that damn ultra system mechanic. Its the scrubbiest shit ever.
Super Turbo seperates the men from the boys.
Love the tobal avi above…
in my opinion I would have to choose the game that propelled me into the competive fighting scene.
I believe Street Fighter IV does a great job to catering to beginners with features like the trials, and does a great job of allowing theme to see where they rank in the community a la championship mode.
As for as balanced, I agree with the point that was made above, seeing how there were a bunch of different characters in the finals.
sf4…
pimp bishop donjon, what a gay name and avatar, it suits you well.
I’m glad people in this thread don’t play 3s because there are already many noobs playing online who will never get better, and we don’t need more of them.
Glad to see watson repping HF, agreed. Never liked how ST felt.
I still really like 3s but it’s kind of stupid at high level – I wish it would get one more revision. I don’t think Capcom will ever do an HDR-style revival though.
yeah
yep. prolly to keep the game “INTERESTING”
make the game easier for newbies
but it looks pretty, right?
they look pretty tho. turtle-ing is something that they probably didnt see coming.
idk
again, i think it’s to keep the newbies interested and keep the game “fun”.
SF4 was supposed to bring a bunch of new people who dont understand mindgames etc. I just think about it as a gateway drug that will lead into more hardcore SF games.
yeah, idk.
i guess after 4 mind game rotations you are supposed to turtle out? It’s really dumb, I agree.
yep. hopefully ssf4 won’t have it.
ultra = st supers = lvl 3 super in alpha and cvs2 games = DHC or ahvb in marvel
Except all of those required you to be playing well in order to fill them - not getting your grill bent in.
It’s more like this:
SFIV super<st supers=lvl 3 super in alpha and cvs 2=DHC or ahvb in Mahvel.
It doesn’t need another revision. 3S is fine the way it is.
I pray to god that Capcom never wastes another dime on SF3.

I don’t know about other games but I know for sure that you get meter for being hit in MvC2.
But when I think of SF, I think of SF CE. Those games are HARD. Games like HF where there are no other system mechanics except the basics make other games a different kind of SF.
So I guess the question is: Which kind of SF is most liked? Original SF or gimmicky SF.
…and SF really exploded and became popular once the more gimmicky games started being introduced so I suppose it’s easy to tell which type of game is more enjoyed nowadays.
Still though:
Touche’, on the Mahvel front - it’s been a looooong time.
As to the latter: O. SF.
IT’S NOT THE SAME GAME SO I HAVE TO HATE It!
