The EX music is godlike; we were posting about that in the EX thread around here. It has Shinji Hosoe, Ayako Saso, Takayuki Aihara working on it throughout the series and they even released arranged albums on top of the original Arcade BGM. Shinji was working on Stuff like Bushido Blade, Ridge Racer, Tekken remixes and a shitload of other stuff. Ayako worked on F-Zero GX soundtrack, Final Fantasy and other albums. Takayuki Aihara is a bit less known to me, but worked on most of the soundtracks with the previous two (think they’re part of the SuperSweep group) as well as good namco OST’s in general.
SFIV shouldn’t be at the top of any list except for maybe sales figures.
^ See, those links you provided are all fine criticisms that cite their sources, but it doesn’t all speak to HDR being this horrendous abomination of a game. It’s not perfect, of course, but being different isn’t a crime.
EDIT - That’s not me counting the information not backed by hard evidence (what players say “feel” different).
nah def. not but the premise of it really sets itself up for being hated, which is trying to take a really old and classic game and make a do-over. anything it gets wrong or people even remotely dislike is going to be amplified by the fact that st is such a classic and established game that people think ‘man why did you have to go and fuck with it’
Dr. B never makes this face: :xeye:. If he did, it would be so mind-bogglingly hilarious that everyone on Earth would orgasm simultaneously. Disgusting.
