Hyperfighting - would be above turbo but really random dizzies make the game to random for me.
I really liked the games I played most as a kid. While I think 3S and IV are awesome…
I’ll always have the fondest memories of playing Super SFII during the summer of 94 with my friends, or playing Alpha 2 when it first came out. Missed out on the first Alpha.
A2 was the epitome of the fighting game era, after that it all went down hill. Even girls were playing fighters back then.
I dont know how popular ST was back when it was released but in London it grew in popularity even surpassing A3 when that was released.
all the Alpha games peaked it really strange times.

The original is still the best IMO. The way Ryu does the 2 fierce combo, that makes you daze, is still the most dramatic effect of ANY SF game. Jump in with fp, come down with standing fp, BAM!!!, theyre dazed!!! And when theyre dazed, step back and throw slow hadoken, then throw fast hadoken, it slows the animation down, which looks so cool. Also, even though I like the speed of the later series, the speed is very relaxed and steady in the original version.
P.S. EX was a horrible game, which reminds me of SF4…(hope I dont get jumped for that…)
I’d just like to point out the people that picked SFIV have yet to do this.
And getting casuals to buy the game doesn’t have shit to do with game quality.
