I’ve always kinda liked watching from a far (i.e. watching match vids constantly on youtube and having an account here from 2004 but for some reason never posting), but recently i got a camera and am gonna try and post some fresh match vids. I go to the ffa in granada hills constantly, and theres good damn play there. Even though i don’t know much about games besides 3s, im gonna try and get some good marvel and cvs2 matches also. I hope this is helping the community and not wasting my time haha.

Whatever happened to Moose?? He was a really really good player, and i have no doubt that if he was still playing he would def be like top 5 on the EC. I met him once at ECC 3 or 4 yrs ago, definitely chill guy.

He’s currently kicking my ass in KOFXI. Fucking Duck King/Terry/Tizoc. I don’t know how active he is in the hardcore scene these days. I’ll probably be playing him later tonight. I got him into DR and he was good enough to compete with the 804 regulars(not saying much) after a week or three, but then he sold his PS3. Never went to a DR tourney.

Yeah, Moose still plays a lot, and likes to play. I went to his place and played him a bunch in CvS2 and ST… he still rapes me in CvS2 free.

I just think he doesn’t have the time/desire to play in tournaments and the hard core scene anymore. He’s still just as good as he used to be, that’s for sure.

He always tells me he has just as much fun (if not more) playing around with his friends then going to tournaments. Granted, he wins 120% of the time against his friends.

I’m pretty sure if there were another tourney in Richmond, he’d definitely come out.

hmm I haven’t done nothing yet, but I plan on going along with Dark Geese’s and Shinji Gohan’s plans and probably promote KOF 2K6/MIRA, since that game is kinda underrated and hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves

This guy was looking for challengers once at this Aladdin’s Castle I went to years ago, apparently all the characters got deleted off marvel or something…so it was mainly just low tier scrubs getting they’re time in before fucking sent/mag/whatever unlocked to attract the higher tiers.

But this guy was different, low tier play for the most part…but he kept winning. I walked in and the manager had given him a stool because of the victories. I tried to stop him…but ended up losing pretty badly. He said he was getting the characters back or somethin’ - so I guess my loss added to his win stock, thus more characters, thus happier arcade.

Aladdins Castle in Torrance? That was one of the best spots for fighters in socal…at least from 92 - 96 :rock:

You know. I agree… but to some extent I feel it’s a little deserved. Almost no one outside of East Coast knows who I am, even though I’ve done all this shit.

It’s like you HAVE to be extremely good and win tournaments in order to get any kind of recognition in this community. There’s not really alot of props given to the guys who make it happen.

Spent a couple thousand dollars sponsoring tournaments and trying to build a community & general awareness of whats being played outside of my little island. Not to mention printing and advertising costs a little more down here than it would in the US.

Sacrificed my well being a couple times to ensure that tournaments went down without a hitch ( I was really sick for a while) that didnt work out too well afterwards…but I’d do it again if the situation presented itself.

Buying tournament dvds/games and practically handing out copies for free to anyone who asks for em.
