^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Where have you been Mr?

now that ae is out, i broke my promise.
We missed ya buddy good to have ya back see ya soon!
thats been my core system since vanilla…i start there and base my game around that…all you really need is to master the stuff zones per matchup and youre a hit with all the young ladies!!! ouwwwwww!
checkout my youtube page for a bunch of examples of this in my videos …!
I’m sad that LP palm now does 90 damage, and Cr. FP does 80.
The following combos work that didn’t work before:
In The Corner:
-
J.FP (or w/e else, DF dive kick, take your pick) > Cr.FP xx LP. Hadoken > Cr. FP xx LP Hadoken > Sweep (You can use Close FP in place of Cr.FP for more damage)
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP > Cr.FP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Close MP > Cr. FP xx LP Hadoken > Sweep
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP > Cr.FP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Close FP xx EX Tatsu
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP xx LP Hadoken > Cr.FP xx MP Palm or EX Palm (connects on Yun, but it can be wonky)
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP xx LP Hadoken > Cr.MP xx EX Tatsu (connects on Yun)
For BIG damage (still in the corner):
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP xx LP Hadoken > Cr.FP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Close FP xx EX Palm > U1 (or reset if you so choose)
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP xx LP Hadoken > Cr.FP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Close MP xx LP Hadoken > Cr.FP xx LP Hadoken > Sweep
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP xx LP Hadoken > Cr.FP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Close MP > Cr. FP xx MP Palm (or EX Palm > U1)
I found quite a few more, especially mid-screen and will add them in later with video.
EDIT: And since Cr. FP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Cr. FP xx LP Palm no longer works mid-screen you can do the following FADC combos with the new LP palm @ mid-screen. Don’t know if using LP palm is worth it since at these ranges the more powerful (by 40 damage) MP palm will connect, but it’s up to you.
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close FP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Close FP xx LP Palm (or MP/EX palm)
-
J.FP (or w/e else) > Close MP xx LP Hadoken xx FADC > Close FP xx LP Palm (or MP/EX palm)
Can you link from the overhead chop now or get a frame trap going? I haven’t experimented since the recovery still seems slow as ass.
Think overhead chop you can link c.lp on counterhit but most people after getting hit by it never seem to block low, I just sweep.
If your opponent is in the habit of jumping backwards and kicking you out of the air when you demon flip, you can parry and EX tatsu for a full punish. I only tested on Ryu but it works with neutral jump and forward jump as well.
***j.mp>mid-air tatsu ***:
On jump-in works on all standing characters not just tall ones, It even works on some crouching opponents too(if you want to see the lowest air tatsu possible!). i tried it on a bunch of guys last night, you must hit the jmp so that its not meaty. There are just some guys who like Guile who when non-blocking but crouching will never be hit by a jump-in mp, in this case and others like it it will not work unless they are blocking, then the jump-in mp will stand them up and the mid-air tatsu will start…
its pretty cool i think…
I discovered Gouken is a fucking asstacular character who will never be afforded the basic luxuries the other cast is afforded. I feel like I could do better with Dan at this point.
Fuck Gouken and fuck this game.
Anti air that drops people and has a recovery greater then 70% of the Ultras in this fucking game.
AN Ultra made for Anti Air, that sure as shit never fails to shoot past the fucking target.
A fake ass shoryuken that has seven frames of start up, can be hit by anything AND can get thrown.
A fake ass EX shoryuken that whiffs on people crouching and attacking, otherwise known as every single person in the fucking game on your wake up when you actually fucking need it.
A fucking “counter” that can be armor fucking broken by every fucking wake up thing in the game and a whole bunch of specials with armor break. As if that wasn’t enough it loses to throws and nothing. Still not enough? Pick a number 1 to 3 asshole.
Slow ass normals that get stuffed by tons of shit thanks to Goukens truck size fucking hit box.
An over-reliance on fucking EX…
No fucking way to mount an offense outside of getting a hard knockdown first. Then you get one chance to get it right to continue the offense. Can’t we all just be like Yun and dive kick, four normals, dive kick, four normals, repeat until Gouken dies cause he has no way to stuff that shit outside of guessing on a counter or burning EX on his “anti air”. Even his four frame anti air c.mk gets stuffed on reaction.
HORSESHIT.
Fuck this character. Fuck him in his fucking bald head and out the pores of what little hair he has left. Fuck you for dedicating your life to such useless shit, your students didn’t even bother to learn a single fucking thing from you asshole!!! They learned what NOT to fucking do. Your brother has two forms and neither are as useless as you. Your brother as a newborn could probably shit all over you baby slapping the fuck out your horseshit counters.
AAARGH fuck this character.
EDIT: And most of all, FUCK YOU CAPCOM for making Yun and Yang and getting them right in one fucking try and you can’t even get Gouken to mid tier in three tries.
^^ nice job at the public disinformation campaign my brother…
BOOOOO GOUKEN!!! HiSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I’m right there with you reippin, as much as effort as I’ve put into this character I should be doing much better than a lot of my peers who’ve put considerably less effort/thought into their character. Gouken is asscheeks and probably will remain so untill sf5 if he’s in that or sf x tekken.
on the few instances where I can really put the fear of God into my opponent and they’re very intent on holding back, after a knock down I’ll go for a meaty cr. lk xx lp palm. Since I’ve been messing with Dudley and more recently Yun, I’ve taken a liking to mixing high and lows for oki. I’ve had some success with that.
after a knockdown, walk away then use it as they get up. its not much and its sort of useless but hey add that to the list…
There is no disinformation in that post. The only thing I pulled out of my ass was the 70% number, but I’m actually willing to go look it up.
I’m waiting for counter to be six different zones and tatsu to be changed to the Geese super motion and if you get it out he just puts on a dunce hat and spins in a circle with a combo me sign on his back.
If you know some way to stop a close yun dive kick that you KNOW is coming on reaction without burning a bar or guessing on your kongo, please, share.
Regular tatsu is throwable and hittable on your wakeup, no fucking problem. Zero invincibility. Your EX tatsu still whiffs on crouchers, which is how most characters will start their attacks on your wake up.
I mean what am I missing here? The more you play people who don’t make mistakes the more you realize how fucking hard you have to work for a fucking win. All his high damage options never surface in a match with a good person because they don’t make the mistakes necessary to use the high damage options.
Oh let’s not forget that backthrow had an extra frame of recovery on a whiff added to it. Just in case you try to tech with back throw and they neutral jump they can now actually hit you on their way down. Grats techable command throw.
EDIT: can you tell I’m thoroughly fucking exasperated with this character?
DOUBLE EDIT: HK tatsu is -102 on block, Juri’s Ultra is -103 and Viper is -200something. That’s it. Our normal HK anti air is 13 frame start up, no invincibility and throwable, and can drop opponents, doesn’t give a hard knockdown, and has more recovery then EVERYTHING in this game save two ultras. SERENITY NOW!!!
If they are out in front of you use cr. mk or jump back/forward hk. An early nj. hp works some times too. The other one is if they are directly above you or very close when they jump is to just st. hk and it can beat dive kicks. You can also focus punish it too, but all these answers are for non-meaty dive kicks.
You’re right, I’d just disregard that post. If some people want to have delusions as to how good or bad Gouken is, leave em be I say. Ignorance is bliss.
Iam I quoted you but I’m moving my reply to the Yun thread, let’s discuss there.
hes bottom tier sucks ass has no future!!!
