On principle, words are just words, but principles don’t exist in a vacuum, so let’s check the actual data:
Suicide attempt rate for the general population: 0.5%
Suicide attempt rate for transgenders: 20-40% depending on the source. These are astronomical figures.
Obviously your solution of simply “growing up” doesn’t seem to be working well in this case, not when you don’t really know how to handle your situation, society around you doesn’t know how to handle your situation, your family shuns you, and your career (depending on the nature of the job) will probably be ruined.
A human is not a lone animal. A human without the minimal support of the humans around him/her cannot survive both physically and mentally.
So if you get plenty of shit in your everyday life about something, I imagine it’s going to bother you when you go to an escapism event that should be about videogames and you get the same shit there as well.
Just because one extreme is wrong doesn’t make the other extreme right by default. The truth is always more complex.
I don’t think DC meant to do anything out of actual hate, and he should apologize and clear the matters, but this is not a public affair, and I fear that people will try to hijack this to push their own things.
I’m saying that you have no room to call other people toxic pieces of shit to the community, being one yourself. Unless you want to claim you can label them as such, being that you are as well and admit to your rampant shit posting. A “takes one to know one” kind of approach? Because I dont know if you noticed but not a single person here likes you.
For purposes of contrast:
There was once a user calle BTierBison. He has been banned about 6 or 7 times on alternate accounts as well. Every time he was banned, other posters had been calling for that to happen for several months prior. He has come back recently on a new account.
SenninSRK was also banned for about a year as well, and MrWizard himself has personally barred Sennin for attending EVO in person for the rest of his life.
We prefer interactions with both of them alone, as opposed to anything involving what you so happen to mash into your keyboard and post on the site.
The problem is you’re not adding anything to the discussion. Just typical SJW parroting that no one has been able to prove (no, not even the great Anita Sarkeesian herself) or wise-ass one-liners for the sake of posting wise-ass one-liners. Is it too much to ask for posts with a bit more substance?
Assumptions make people look stupid. As do generalizations. Try to remember that.
Anyway, I did not say anything on my stance towards crucades or mirc. But since you presume to know how I feel about them, I will enlighten you.
Crucades is generally a cool guy. He just has his moments of going full retard, admittedly a bit harder than most people. He also tends to come across as a bit prejudiced, but I attribute that to his foreign origins and only ever having met a single non-white human being in person his entire life. 6/10, would have a beer with as long as he doesnt call me a lazy puerto rican.
Mirc I honestly havent paid that much attention to. I think I just miss a lot of his posts in the lounge, but when I do see his posts, he’s alright.
Once again, I was not saying anything beforehand about what I thought of them. I was simply stating that you have no room to accuse other people of being terrible people, when you’re about the worst one around here. One more reply to you and then I’m ignoring you again.
Pro tip: When people call you a troll, it’s not because you make them angry. It’s because we as human beings, refuse to believe that another person is as genuinely stupid as you are. Reflect on that.
I’ve got nothing to reflect on, because i realise now that you’re more interested in the status quo than anyone challenging your narrative. If it helps people to sleep at night and to justify censoring me by calling me a troll, then so be it. I’ll try to remember that as long as i nod my head and never bother to voice any sort of opinion or thought, i’ll be “popular” and okay.
Opinions are fine, but if you’re going to make points or assumptions about others, be prepared to back them up. So far, you haven’t been. Nor have most people that try to make the same points and assumptions you’re trying to make. “muh feelz” don’t count as backup.
