I see your point, but reacting as if it’s some sort of scary SJW conspiracy that Ian is a part of is pretty goofy if you ask me. Silly for disabling comments? Probably. Gamergate and SJW issue? No, I’d say not.
by definition, it was a SJW issue, but shouldn’t have been. It shouldn’t have even been a facebook post, let alone a fucking front page article, with disabled comments, a smug attitude, and pure fucking cowardice.
As it’s been stated multiple time already…the article was vague and censoring any discussion on it was a dumb move.
This topic doesn’t deserve a thread because it’s clear the person who is complaining is either a child or doesn’t quite understand how basic human interaction works.
When you don’t like the message on the frontpage. Its a tranny agenda. Its SJW infiltration, its bitchmade conspiracy.
But when I complain that SRK has an anti Arcana Heart agenda, nobody cares. Nobody thinks about the lolis.
When I raise hard hitting questions like, “Why don’t more fighters have anal sex as part of the canon? Like with Tamaki from ToHeart2 in AquaPazza”, nobody listens. They perfectly ignoring the fact Koihime Musou has plenty of hardcore sex.
When I send “into the max” a list of people who have committed thought crimes against Crystal Miku, nobody gets upset the truth is being censored.
Well FUCK YOU.
FUCK ALL OF YOU.
I hope everyone in the FGC gets skinned alive, their flesh turned into leather bound covers for cookbooks and then given to starving children.
From the bathos that is this incident to the article that taints the front page, there was nothing about this that was adult. Expecting ‘adult’ comments to come from that toy chest of thought is a swelling of false hope which deserved to be burst.
Ooooh. Seems to be a miscommunication. He’s obviously lying though, he is black and male after all so he must be abject evil. Let’s just believe every whisper about this dude. He’s on some advanced bullying and harassment shit where you never say anything directly to or physically touch a person. And he spikes people’s drinks with cocaine?! The Sheev Palpatine of the FGC is pulling all our puppet strings making us implicit in this awful event. The dark side is too strong, what can we possibly do? Maybe I can bleach my skin and join in on your collusion to have a cop choke this guy to death.
DC has been around anime tournaments for years, he’s not a boogeyman and nobody gives a shit he’s black. He’s done cool shit like sponsor Pops (BB player) so he can travel to tournaments.
He does not, however, have the best track record with his behavior. He got banned from CEO2013’s venue when he wouldn’t stop being way too loud and generally downplaying that he was acting belligerent. In the end hotel staff called the cops to kick people out of his room. If he got called out for overstepping boundaries and saying things he shouldn’t have then I’m inclined to believe it’s true, cause the impression I have of him is that of being pretty unfiltered to the point where he can deeply offend somebody. I think he’s capable of recognizing that he fucked up though.
This thread’s gone to shit but that’s what I wanted to say.
Just wanted to clarify on this so you don’t get wrong idea: I’m pretty sure Ian and Mightfo just know each other through Gundam VS. It’s a small scene that’s mostly connected through twitter. It’s not some massive journalist/sjw/illuminati conspiracy.
Also, your comment came off as hostile. He’s an opinionated guy, but let’s not pretend Mightfo didn’t respond that way unprovoked.
This is fucking pathetic. Some dude wants to be a chick, and his acquaintance asks him if he got surgery yet, and that’s a big fucking deal? Get the fuck out. That is so mind bogglingly petty it’s unreal. Oh, and for the guy talking about suicide rates, maybe it’s because once you have the surgery seriously fucking up your hormone levels and body structure, you realize you still have a XY chromosome and you’re never gonna actually be a chick. But now your body is completely fucked. Yeah I’d say that would drive a lot of people to kill themselves. But hey, it’s “societal pressure”, not the horrible physical reality you have to deal with day in and day out.
as am I. the title insinuates disparity, disparity gets clicks. whats worse is its misleading as there is no disparity within the community among those who know the details of the situation. Its pretty obvious everyone thinks this is high school bullshit. There is literally 2 people who thinks its an issue the accuser and Ian
New game promotion is fine but its not done how it used to be. I’ll get into this more later but today its pretty much here’s this new game you should buy it which is ok but that’s where it ends theres nothing anyone really gets out of that, or at least someone like me and you who looks at fighters on a deeper level. The Naruto piece actually wasn’t bad but it was try hard as hell the whole article I was being begged to play the game.
The smash brown nosing I speak on because yeah we intermingle now but smash is its own community the majority has no desire to be lumped in with the rest of the fgc and the community here on srk are largely indifferent to the greater smash community why create this illusion on the front page like its all deep and shit like Smash is our joint like that. I like smash btw obv a lot of us do, I’m js smashboards, srk is not.
I know where your getting at with this and i’ll just cut the crap outright yeah the content creation community isn’t what it was but it was never about amazing videos it was always about tech and shit that would be interesting to a competitive player. Random tech compilations used to be posted daily. Where’s the xrd on front page had this been 2 years ago there’d be jap footage out the ass just random shit that the community would like now theres some sort of wack ass standard that seems to lean more towards clicks. what about tourney coverage all types of regionals and locals used to get coverage now it just seems to be a select few. again not a community based directive.
yeah I tweeted Iantothemax about how a person shouldn’t feel bullied or threatened in a tournament/fgc, but now that I know the details, I really disagree that he decided to make it a public ordeal and, in his own way, intentional or not, shame the community for the lewdness of a couple people. I’ve known plenty of trans folks, and while I really didn’t ask “what stage they’re at in their transition”, I leave it as their business is their business. But now Ian has made it the community’s business by frontpaging the isolated incident I wouldn’t have searched out had he not been the do-gooder whistle blower.
I’m wondering how this is making the allegedly victimized person feel now. For the record: If you know a person is trans, just treat them as the gender they identify with. It can be a sensitive topic to them, and is in some sense disrespectful. I’ve been through many seminars and sit downs with trans/queer folk to know the general agreement on how they want to be treated. Not as a spectacle.
