What grinds your gears in BB?

I admit I haven’t really seen her portrait but in like 1 second glimpses during video gameplay and thus haven’t really examined it. I have however, seen that image from the arcade mode somewhere where it’s a below shot of her looking down at something and her nipples are literally popping out.

Barely safe for work. :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you 100% sure that’s not like…some random concept artwork?

You’re a fucking idiot if you actually think that’s real.

Of course it is not, but this is:

Get it? Or is it too much to ask for your single neuron?

I myself (as well as all the other people who bought the game apparently) don’t have a problem with that design nor really any of the other characters besides like…Bang. It makes sense that she looks like that if you are invested at all in the game’s story.

The problem I had with your comment was that you were using an obviously atrocious sprite model to example something that didn’t even exist in the game. I can respect that YOU may not like the designs, but don’t lie to people. This game doesn’t get the recognition it deserves as it is.

Please just stick to Dial-A-Combo 4 Arena.

I dont get how people can hate Bang  Maybe its cause I didnt play CS1 much?

I wouldn’t say hate, he’s just my least favorite character. :shy:

Some people don’t like him because he’s really over the top and kind of a parody of himself at times. But…I always kind of thought that was the point and it was partly why I like him as a character.

100% positive. Here she is on the character select screen:

Huh…well, I’ll be. I do still feel like I’ve easily seen worse though, not gonna lie.

Well, that’s what grinds my gears with this game. Which I think is the point of this thread.

I dunno man; She’s pretty much in like, TERA Online territory at this point, only her bust is enormous in addition to her hardly wearing any clothes.

Is there “worse” out there? Sure, but most of it is in games that are trying to sell themselves on their “titillation” factor. (Anything from Compile Heart, for example.)

I have no idea what TERA Online is, so you’ll have to excuse that. But that story mode Mileena costume in MK9 seemed worse if you want me to name an example.

[TERA Online](‘http://www.terafans.com/uploads/1278188754/gallery_24_4_ 4288956.png’) :stuck_out_tongue:

Mileena MK9 is close (I skipped the hell out of that game, so…) but frankly, she’s still showing less and less…uhm…exaggerated. Some attempt was made to make her look like a real person, albeit, a real “model”.

Meh. I just think you’re bashing for the sake of it.

The fact you’re embarrased to play a game infront of people says a ton about you. I understand the world loves to see Two-Button DP / EZ Modo 4 But seriously. Come on.

Duuuuuuude.

Hey now, we don’t need to be bashing P4A to be liking Blazblue. I love BB and like P4A. Sure I prefer BB more since nobody in P4A’s style really clicked with me, but I don’t think bashing it is constructive. I mean hell, if we’re like this then we’re never gonna get BB or an Aksys game into EVO again.

Agreed; P4A is a perfectly solid game. If you think there’s something “Ez mode” about it because you can do a DP with two buttons, you have very little understanding of what’s important in fighting games. (Hint: It’s not “how hard is it to do a DP”) :stuck_out_tongue: And if you DON’T think that, then DON’T SAY it. Ugh. This community.

Yeah, the FGC is splintered and divided enough as it is, and already has a number of people within the different sects of it against the Airdasher community. My personal feel is that we of all people should know what it’s like to be looked own on for childish or silly things. If we resort to that ourselves and among ourselves the message that gives to the people in the other parts of the FGC, whether it be the SF crowd, Marvel crowd, Tekken crowd, whatever (note, this is not meant to imply that those FGCs as a whole feel that way or generalize, it’s purely being used as an example for the sake of argument) is that they’re right about the people that play these games and as such, the games themselves.

The best way to attract people to Blazblue, and to Persona is to if nothing else have a united and welcoming community that supports both. Hell, probably my answer right now on what grinds my gears are people who don’t stand by their game and become upset when it’s not in EVO. I don’t even mean just with Blazblue, but any game. Granted, my ideal EVO would include BBCP coming out over here, getting mass acceptance, hype, and squeaking in for EVO making EVO 2013 consist of AE/UMVC3/KOFXIII/TTT2/BBCP/MK9 or Injustice, but I’m a realist and for that to happen would not only require the game to come out over here in time, but for the community to show up in groves and make a big splash in a potentially really short time. I’m not saying such a thing is something we can’t do, but everybody has to want it and admittedly asking everyone to care about Blazblue as much as I do or as Montreal does is likely asking a lot at first.

Pretty much, we need to be better to ourselves and expect more from ourselves if we expect to get respect or treated well by the rest of the community, even if that means waiting until say, EVO 2014 to get an Aksys game into EVO. Even the KOFXIII community didn’t gain mad hype and respect in a day, and as awesome as the KOF community is, if they can get their community to stay strong and have their game ultimately be respected without resorting to bashfests over people liking one game or another in the series, then we can do the same damn thing, even if it’s just between Blazblue and Persona 4 Arena. I mean, the last time I checked, we’re all adults here, so shouldn’t we act like it?

You took that to heart way too much. It was a blind insult, not my insight into the game itself. Come on.
