What DO YOU want to see in Street Fighter 4?

Btw, I like the idea of Ryu being the last boss. He has reached the final stage of his training and has become insanely strong. Ken is there to bring back Ryu to his senses, all this power got to him in the head. Akuma is there cuz he finally believes that Ryu is ready for their match together. Bison is there to A) find a new body B) avenge his murder at the hands of Akuma C) re-establish Shadowlaw by recruiting fresh blood from the tournament.

Chun Li and an older Guile would probably be there because they heard rumors about a small group of Shadowlaw optimists (later they find out that it is Bison himself).

Sagat could be thrown in to duke it out with Ryu one more time.

An older Juni and/or Juli and/or Cammy could be thrown into the mix cuz Bison is back and they want to know more about their past from the only man that knows the truth!

The remaining characters would all be new, seeking to battle it out with the LEGENDARY Ryu for one reason or another, just to test their skills. (Older Sakura could be thrown in as well)

what would be really sick is if gouken’s daughter came out of hiding and she knew the real ansetsuken like akuma does

w0rd. I can’t see another SF w/o Sak. i don’t care what anyone thinks.

but anyways… i’ve always liked the idea of just having all the SF cast in one game. adding some new guys have always seem to be a common idea to newer Street fighter games so that’s always welcomed. but just seeing matches like Balrog and Duds going at it has always been dreamed about and it would be awesome to make it come true. who’s the better boxer

i’m betting they’re working on the game already though. just can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I agree with that, when I imagined my new Bison sprite I imagined him…somehow changed…like hes more evil then ever before but in a all new way…I guess I can’t really explain it. Also holla if you want to see Bison without that cap and see his hair flowing while his eyes are glowing. I also would design a new costume for him, more like somekind of custom armor. In any case if I were to make a game like this all the old characters would come back very differently. As though they are familiar, yet they are still very new as well.

I like the Ideas about Sakura and Sean, and having Yun and Yang more grown up. It be cool if they could switch styles like gen could as well. I especially like the idea of having Ryu as the final boss, that would give Alex a chance to finnaly whoop his ass and claim his title. Anyways cannon wise, do you think Alex would be as strong as Ryu in the next game? I think he would have gotten strong enough to beat him by then, but that’s just me.

sakura as a strong, flexible, sexy shotokan bitch
true

thats a good bison idea; in a desheveled body, hate brooding, with some wild ass burning vigor powers totally different than his other designs (but keep a teleprt). hell, make him a wild pixie-type

funk dan and sean; lazy ken will be the joke char (make him look like a blond, present day Diego Maradona)

yun and yang could have a cain/abel relationship like Thong suggested

chun li’s little adopted girl would grow up into some shorty (and she gotta be thick), and chun will get background props.

make makoto even more gender indeterminate

Id love to see ibuki in the game but I cant think of changing her for the better (more stamina)

do something with Q too, the sky is the limit since nobody knows what the hell his deal is.

drunken style Oro (since he is drowing his sorrows that he failed Ryu in that he has crossed to the dark side since he is the new SnH boss)

and new chars

actually the more I think of it the more I think that Capcom should work on a new strreet Fighter series that is like what alpha was to the street fighter 2 characters. Have anime versions of the SF3 chars and all in all be a series that is to SF3 what SFA was to SFII, that would be kind of badass IMO. Street Fighter Omega, w0rd. The reason I say this is because I think some of the most well designed and memorable character designs capcom has done yet lie in SF3, and as it looks now they are gonna go unused and forgotten other then in some recycled dream match games. They really need to go back to em.

IIRC World Heroes 2 Jet’s VS mode allowed you to change individual stats in a slightly similar fashion, there were 3 other presets along with the balanced “Normal” setting, each which emphasised the specific trait(Speed, Defense or Offense) to about 60%, then gave the other two the remaining 40% to share. Then again, I’m one of the few people that got a little fun out of playing the WH series, so don’t mind me.

I want these to be back.
Ryu(of course, it won’t be a street fighter without Ryu)
, Ken, Akuma, Guile, Bison, Dan
Sakura, Chun-li, and Cammy (more sexy outfits for the girls :badboy: )

A Street Fighter Beta game that takes place between SF2 and SF3 would be interesting, it would introduce and tell us more about the history of SF3 characters perhaps.

Though I think SF4 is the best bet for now. All the characters would look very different. I imagine Ryu would’ve grown a beard or something. And Akuma’s hair would be almost completely white. Ken would cut his hair short. Bison would be in a new body, or maybe even Rose’s body - Imagine Rose wearing Bison’s outfit with her hair tied back and her eyes glowing white. SIIIIIIICK!

i want something new. something the fan boys will cry over because OMFG no ryu… no Ken… no chun… lick my balls. nobody cares!. The reason why SF sucks so much to the mainstream is… it never has anything insanely creatively new, and even then… nobody gives a flying fuck about 2D fighters anymore… look at GGXX… that game is the shit… but half the people in the world havent’ even heard about it. It’s different, yet the same as SF… it’s in a market thats not going to sell extremely well. Why because nobody gives a flying fuck about Gameplay anymore. NExt gen gamers just want graphics and games they can pick up and be really good at because they don’t want to spend hours upon days upon weeks upon months to devise a strategy or figure out the exact mechanics of the game. Thats why stuff like GTA and Halo sells… that shit is easy as hell to pick up… and really… if the game from a top down prespective… it’s the same shit… just ever new version… it looks a tad better… or adds something incredibly stupid to please the eye… probably why to the mainstream gamer… MK is WAY better than any SF. I think they really just need to rethink the SF design. There’s nothing relaly WRONG with the game… but their biggest problem is selling that idea… and doing some hard work to refresh the genre, not just flooding it with another cut and paste game. Even capcom itself has said that SF4 not in the near future. I think it’s time to stop waiting for an SF4… and actually sit down and master what has already been given to us.

RXS

Ha, funny. A GG fanboy bitching about Street Fighter in a
Street fighter fan site. Screw you!!! :badboy:

The reason SF3 wasn’t a success because it DID NOT cater to old fans who were still stuck on SF2. YOU CANNOT HAVE A SUCCESSFUL SF GAME WITH CLASSIC CHARACTERS. The characters of SF add a lot to the game and people love them, there is a reason they are making Blanka and Sagat toys 15 years after they were created.

What kind of shit statement is that? We’ve already mastered every game they have thrown at us. :stuck_out_tongue:

True_Tech, you’re a scrub! Yun’s ALREADY overpowered as it stands! You might as well ask for Gill to have a little more priority & stun! Get your stick & get back to practicing! Hahahahahaha.

SF4 though? Didn’t Capcom make SF3 to get away from the entire SF2 legacy? So if they made SF4, I propose that they make more new characters, and bring back a few of the SF3 characters. Like bring back Yun & Yang as a mid-boss. Both you ask? Yes. Like a SFA3 Juni & Juli.

If you want to continue the SF3 series… Umm… Let’s see… Give Yang a little more depth as a character. So he’s more than just cr.mk->EX slashes, st.lk->EX slashes, UOH->EX slashes, flip->EX slashes. And give Tweleve some semi-decent attacks. And Chun DIES. DIES A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE DEATH. And Makoto breaks her leg or something, and now can’t dash or do 400% stun combos. Then give Sean 2 bars for his Hyper Tornado, and make the bar around current Abare Tosanami length. And give him useful combos. Actually, I take that back. No useful combos for Sean. So then, people can start a “Sean = skill” thread. And it’ll be true!

One fun thing that might break the game (but would be fun) would be to absolutely fuck around with the damage scaling during GJ, so it does less damage. Then make the bar for GJ longer, and more time. I’m sorry, I’m getting bored of the {f.mkx2, palm}x2, ender thing with GJ.

And give Q that win button. :nods:

#1 i’m not a GG fanboy. I play GG casually, and nothing more.

It’s hard to say that, i woudlnt’ say that you can’t have a good SF game without classic characters… but i woulnd’t completely agree that an SF game with classic characters is bad either… really you have to look at it liek this… SF3 was completely new… stil had a RYU and KEN mind you, the game was fine really… if you’ve played it… it’s not ALL horrible… but one of the reasons why it did fail (and why i agree with you) because of the lack of classic characters… fine… so capcom goes ahead… second impact comes out with a couple new characters… still no more than Ryu and Ken as classic characters… bombed again…then 3S comes out… yet again… added Chun li to the fray, along with Akuma ( mind you all the classics are shoto minus scrub li). Thats not a problem… mind you… we already have a Zangief and Guile wannabes (in a way Hugo and Remy) but even then… peopel are going to complain. I want my blanka, i want my bison blah blah blah. which is fine, i mean KOF does fine. SNK releases a new one every year… and they are well welcomed and hated by the community… bottom line is… it’s not that Capcom hasn’t experimented before… ala SF3, just the community is a bunch of whores… who above all… want the old shit… and then dont’ appreciate the new stuff… thus we get capcom becoming an SF recycling machine. I don’t mind seeing Revamped classic characters… hell… i’d liek to see Ryu 10 years down the road getting to train with Oro and being top tier for the first time since his SF2 days, but he needs more than… hadoken, Shoryuken and Hurricane Kicks… i mean after all… according to SF story line… he does train with Oro… bringing back classic characters is fine… but they’re always so undeveloped when they bring them back… like they got stuck in a time warp or some shit.

  BRA-FUCKING-VO   to Thongboy as well as RXS.

I’m glad to be one of the few who thinks this way. All you other fucking haters can eat a fat one. :nunchuck:

I posted this a while back in the “Mel Masters” thread in the Udon sector. http://www.shoryuken.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69987&page=5&pp=15

"I invision SF4 to have two separate centers of focus. Akuma and “The new Evil”(Bison/somebody else).

(in-game and out-of-game characters)
Akuma part-
Ryu(in), Ken(in but for other reasons), Akuma(in), Sagat(in), Mel(in), Sakura(out), Oro(out), some new ppl maybe:

Oro teaches Ryu everything he knows so his skills can live on after his death. During training Ryu tells Oro about Akuma and Oro goes long into thought and decides to teach Ryu his ultimate technique(something big). Before Ryu’s training is done, Akuma senses and tracks down Ryu and Oro and he attacks Oro late at night while Ryu is sleeping. Oro has become very weak over the years training Ryu and is having trouble with Akuma. Akuma attempts the SGS on him but Oro knows hows to evade it by emptying his soul like Gen but his elderly fatigue slightly hinders him. Because of this, Oro’s soul was not completely emptied and the SGS catches Oro partially. The SGS does not instantly kill him but it fatally wounds him, with only minutes of life left. The energy and sound released by the SGS wakes Ryu and he rushes to the scene. Oro struggles to tell Ryu to escape so he can finish his training but ryu wants to stay and fight. Akuma realizes the situation and tells Ryu he awaits his full potential then escapes via Ashura Warp. Oro tells Ryu something meaningfull then dies. Ryu becomes grim and feels responsible for Oro’s death. Ryu countinues training and street fighting viciously(SNH is not present). While Ryu is running the gamut of fighters on his route through southeast Asia, Sagat discovers him beating down a thug that was harrassing a poor family. Sagat greets him and Ryu almost instantly asks for a fight. Sagat sees something different with Ryu but he agrees to fight. Ryu is not well focused as he is sticking with strong and slow attacks, an inner anger is driving his part of the fight and Sagat sees this. Sagat with with his size is easily dancing around Ryu, Sagat sees an opening and punches Ryu in the stomach which makes him reel back. Sagat jumps in to knock him out with a roundhouse but dodges to the side as Ryu goes up with a SNH-charged shoryuken. Sagat lands on his feet to the side of Ryu and watches as he lands from the shoryuken. Sagat remains silent with a “you are better than this” look on his face. Ryu looks at Sagat and collapses to the ground with a look of shame on his face. (continued on next post)"

"Sagat inquires as to what has gotten to Ryu. Ryu tells Sagat of Akuma and the death of his masters. Sagat recalls that Akuma once killed Bison(Sagat was there right?). Sagat lectures Ryu and tells him(again?) that one cannot fight with hate as their only drive. Ryu refocuses himself with and Sagat’s help and they both train/spar with each other for a few weeks. Ryu gets word from Ken that the World Warrior Tournament 4 has been annouced and asks Sagat if he will join. Sagat agrees with the hope of finally having a meaningful fight with Ryu and to support him in his battle against Akuma who is understood to be lurking the tournament as usual. Ken enters the tournament to beat his son Mel who has entered against Ken’s wishes. Sakura decides not to join but support Ryu from the sidelines.

In an isolated area during the tournament, Sagat and Ryu have their fight. A focused Ryu manages to defeat Sagat and he accepts the loss contently. As they leave the field Akuma arrives and challenges Ryu. Ryu accepts and they do battle. Ryu becomes fatigued due to just finishing his battle with Sagat and Akuma gains then upper-hand and knocks Ryu down. Akuma insults Ryu and tells him to show his full potential or he will kill this girl(Akuma then points behind him). Ryu failed to realize that Sakura had been standing in the distance, nearly in tears. Akuma turns around and fires a Messatsu-Gohadou at a paralyzed Sakura. Ryu gasps in panic as the blast travels its course. Sagat steps in front of Sakura and puts all of his remaining strength into a Tiger Cannon to cancel out the hadou. The blast dies down and Sagat becomes weak and faint. Akuma grimaces while looking at Sagat and asks Ryu how many of his friends must die as he charges for a SGS. Ryu gets up with new vigor and tells Akuma to face him. Ryu lands the first hit of Shin-Shoryuken on Akuma but he manages to escape the next hit by warping backwards. Ryu levitates some objects toward Akuma and he bats them away with the back of his hands. As Akuma is focused on the objects, Ryu pierces through his defenses with a dashing punch. Akuma recovers quickly and thanks Ryu for making it neccessary for him to “try harder”, he then powers up to what we call “Shin Akuma”(just Akuma when he’s not holdinh back). Ryu gets beat for a while then he remembers his training and tries twice to pull off Oro’s ultimate hidden technique to no avail. Akuma goes for the SGS and Ryu goes for the technique again and lands it. The attack hits Akuma as he grabs Ryu with the SGS. Oro’s attack causes Akuma to err his SGS and dies. Sagat and Sakura take Ryu to a hospital and he recovers. They watch on the television as the plot of the tournament unfolds. (cont)"

“‘The New Evil’(Bison/Other)-
Ken(in), Vega(only for Bison,in), Guile(for Bison,in,replaces Remy), Balrog(for Bison,in), Q(in), Alex(in), Gill(out), Bison(for Bison, in), Chun Li(out), Cammy(for Bison, in), Urien(for other,out), Mel(in), Necro(in), some new ppl.”

I’m gonna try to complete “The New Evil” later today.

What I would like to see in Street Fighter 4 -

  • No life bars.

Akuma = I m ur father lolzzzzzzzz
Ryu = stfu roffles

Levitating objects = Tengu Stone
Oro training Ryu = Ryu knows Tengu Stone(at least in my story anyway)
