Who do you guys think is the best assist for Wolverine? Akuma, Sentinel, Frank West, Iron Fist, someone else?
I think Iron Fist and Spencer.Spencer Slant shot is great for picking people up after grabs,and he can continue Wolverine combos pretty easily with a :df:.
and Iron Fist is just great for mixups on incoming characters and then he wall bounces them and you have a whole second to react,which is actually pretty long.
but my question is, does drill claw into ground bounce :d::h: into st.:h: into :s: not work on MODOK?Am I just doing it too slowly?
It’s extremely situational, but for the most part the :h: *will *push them too far for the :s:, so you need to just do :s:.
I think it can also happen a bit with Tron.
How do you do that rapid slash but even faster? I saw someone I played online do it I tried pressing the buttons faster but no luck. He says swiss cheese…I’m not sure what the move is called.

What I do is jump back and distance myself from him before the match starts. Once the match does start, I just do jump back gun+assist, because wolvy players love to press buttons&want to start the offensive as soon as possible. Wolvy’s best option is his divekick/airthrow, by pressing downforward+heavy, because its relatively safe close up. Either that, or standing H for regular grab/claw, or berserker slash to cross up if the person is preparing to block. Jumping back with gun stops most of it, especially because his slash is no longer invincible, and if you connect his air gun with wolvy in the air or even on the ground at the right distance, you could dash in and combo, but a lot of times people back wolvy’s action with an assist(usually akuma’s tatsu), so I’d just recommend staying on the defensive at the start, then space him out and wait for the opportunity to crossup teleport+assist.
I am trying to do the up drill claw mixup on an incoming character, when I go for same side I can make it pretty ambiguous and confirm with Divekicked for the ground bounce. But when I try to make it a cross up either I hit them and them my Divekick whiffs or my drill claw doesn’t actually cross up. Is there some kind of tick people do to time the mixup correctly?
i’m assuming your divekick whiffs because you end up behind them after drill claw and you divekick towards the corner instead of towards them. if so, i would just drill claw twice (second drill claw either neutral or d/f) and then divekick. that way, when you go for the cross up drillclaw and end up behind them instead of in front, the second drill call will auto-align you so that your divekick will hit.
Thanks for the Advice. I was thinking about trying to delay the divekick too so it auto-correct towards the opponent. I’ll test this all out when I get my xbox fixed.

Well, yes and no. If you practise the timing and then do it earlier or later then you can do it that way. You could try whiffing a H or S or a light B.Slash etc to time it.
However, it kinda defeats the point of it because the best 50/50s are the ones wheren even you don’t know which way it will go, never mind the opponent.

Has anyone posted Wolverine’s hitbubbles from the Vita version anywhere yet? I find it hard to believe with all these pictures going around that I still have yet to see Wolverine’s dive kick hitbubbles.
Not been able to find any pictures, but this video shows it at 19 seconds. Looks like it extends pretty far down below his hurt-bubble, which seems to end around his knee.

Can wolverine combo off of his beserker slash without using his power up or an assist?

Yeah can sometimes connect and L, but only if you hit them from the front or into the corner while they are quite high up, at about normal jump height. Outside of that you can combo his other hypers obviously or XF it. The best way though is definitely via assists though, as you keep your meter and can carry on building meter.
I am a new umvc3 player. I play on a sfiv madcatz te2 stick it feels great but i am having trouble with some things. I am using only a few combos at the moment. My team is Wolverine/Ryu/Nemesis. I dont like akuma. I usually do LMHS MMHS, DRILL, DIVE KICK, H, BARRAGE X SUPER.
What other combos should i be using with wolverine? thanks.
after the dive kick and H don’t do the super, just launch him and do another MMH drill claw into fatal claw super. so it’ll be
LMHS, MMH -> DRILL CLAW -> Dive Kick, HS, MMH -> Drill Claw -> Fatal Claw super.
if you have an assist that can pick up the opponent with wolverines slide OTG that helps too, it can make this combo a whole lot better
also try adding more hits to that combo
try: LMLHS -> MLMH-> DRILL CLAW-> DIVE KICK-> HS-> MMLH-> DRILL CLAW-> FATAL CLAW
Well LMLHS j.MMH DrilClaw, Dive Kick HS j.MMHS downforward M plus Ryu Tatsu assist into H Berserker barrage mashed into Fatal claw or Barrage X is pretty good.
