this thread is ruined
it was never good to begin with.
i don’t like players (who are good, nonetheless), doing nothing but waiting for me to do a mistake, knowing that whoever has the life lead just have to wait.
nothing meaning a bit of zoning, but nothing really threatening unless reacting to one of my moves.
I’m then forced to play a bitch worse than them, usually they leave after that. Those are called the “no mind game players” for me.
[solution : just turtle like a bitch, without even moving if you can (deejay, guile, or even yun), why the hell should i bother moving. All i have to do is one hit with yun’s MP & then i wait. It’s even better not moving, to show the other how absurd it is moving backward & forward doing nothing but waiting XD and no, not ever, jumping
and i don’t like people going for grabs and grabs and grabs because they are going to loose. Problem is, you can either mash (but risky, you have the lead, why do that), or tech throw until you miss, and you will, because it tight timing and it’s online
anyway, it’s a cheap method, fortunately, it doesn’t work all that often , but still, it’s a very efficient online nooby cheap tactic
street fighter is a defensive game. it always has been.
its just that sf4 is that concept taken to a extreme.
go play kof,…even though alot of its system is dedicated to defensive mechanics its a much more offense oriented game.
you’ll like it more.
did i mention that day by day i am growing to hate this game more and more?lol
i 'm admiring cvs2 more and more too.
can we just get cvs2 revamped graphically to HD standards and put online???
can we?
then i’d be happy.
problem is, i cannot stand hand drawn 2D fighters. i tried Blaze blue, i watched videos of KOF, blazblue, guilty gear, skullgirls. All moves are so fast that even if there is 3 animations frames instead of 2 (or 4, wooho), in combo video or matches, it’s almost unreadable. You have to donwload the movie, then play frame by frame.
MvC3 is like this too :S combo videos cannot be read, that 's why some people put pauses in them. This game is too fast for me
I’m eagerly waiting for Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown !!!
(soulcalibur V is too much like old ones for me, if less good than the 2nd, and tekken, well. I prefer VF)
mind, i really like Street Fighter 4. It bugs me a bit sometimes for the reasons i wrote, but it is so satisfying to beat lame tactics (the masher, the thrower, the turtle) used by very good players (because the bads, well, they 'll loose anyway lol)
one other problem i don’t like in fighting game is combo length. Quite balanced in SF and VF and soulcalibur, juggles a bit too much in tekken for me, and other 2D fighter, hand drawn or mvc3 or sfXtekken… Not for me, i don’t like spending my time watching how good the opponent is. And i don’t like learning never ending combos^^
Holyshit you must suck at fighting games.
The fact that its just another edition of the same game…
People who blame losses on the person they lost to, for ANY reason.
YOU lost, deal with it. Improve.
Its not because the other person:
1)threw too much
2)mashed too hard
3)turtled
4)played runaway
5)picked an "only character you suck against"
or
6)All of the above.
every 09er who’s first fighting game they’ve played is SF4 and wanna swear to the rest of us that its the greatest fighter ever made.

WHAT IN THE FLYING FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Get that shit out of here!
LOL.
Ah. sometimes i wonder if there was a dislike tab to posts, if i’d have something like 10,000 dislikes.
shame there isn’t one. we’ll never know.
What I hate about it? That it doesnt feel as fluid and solid as fighters like KoF, 3s,and the like.
What? i have to explain the intricacies about why I dont feel its fluid? Bish it doesnt appease my wanting of a solid sensational feel I aint got sht to explain.
I had more fun in the crap game Sfxt…but tbh AE is way more fundamentally sound than Sfxt, I will even go as far as sayin Vanilla is more fundamentally sound that Sfxt
i didn’t say i lost to turtles and grabber XD
i just said, i don’t like this kind of play, but it provides me great happiness to destroy those who play like that (the top fun being, when the opponent left after 1 or 2 matches, the other seing his cheap tactics doesn’t work, and worse, he cannot stand the same tactic against him)
no 100% success rate sure, i’m just an average player, i don’t spend my whole life there
i can stand some matches vs 3000-4000PP players (not BP, it seems BP doesn’t mean anything since i was able to defeat 15kBP players with Yun, who i began end january 2012), but i’m an average player, i usually manage not to get fully destroyed except by real top player (which means, surely not you^^)
anyway, i really like SSF4 though, and indeed, i think i suck, like most people, at fighting game, those not sucking being the top players we watch in videos. But i don’t message rage against people, at least
I liked your ninja edits to make your original post seem less derpy.
The comedically, stereotypically long Capcom-given name.
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Version 2012
good thing you didnt say:
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Version 2012 patch 1.07
i like you trying to troll and flame
I don’t really hate SF4, but there are some things that turn me off of it. It could be that I’m just way more used to anime/airdash fighters, but the huge prevalence of tight links in every character’s basic bnb is something that bugs me. It’s like the game was designed to be beginner friendly, with input shortcuts, easy reversals, and ultra combos, but performing at anything higher than low level play has nailing these links as an entry barrier rather than something tough but optional for optimal damage combos. The necessity of option selects is a bit of a turn-off too. Then again, maybe SF just isn’t my style of game or I’m imagining these things to be tougher than they are.

not about the game, but about our subforums:
i hate that the AE match up/strategy threads for all of the characters here at the SSF4AE subforums are a jumbled up mess that span 30-40 pages long for each character.
the AE match up/strategy threads for each character needs an unbiased dedicated team of srk members to clean up, or re-write it after editing out anything useless while keeping anything thats actually helpful.
in other words, they need to just be summarized and made efficient.
a character’s match up/strategy thread’s OP should be maybe 1-2 pages long(after summary edit) with all the helpful tips of what to do/what not to do against each character.
in other words if the OP isn’t dedicated enough to constantly watch, re-write, edit, and update his OP with match up info…somebody else has to. And the OP has to have the sense to list the character’s match up of every opponent with spoiler tags to save space.
