I consider using the controller trick boosting, also dodging players who you know you will lose against.
Proves that people will cheat even if it takes more effort than… actually playing to win. They’ll suffer the long ardous path of points boosting before daring to actually try to improve, or worse yet… lose!

…wait where the hell did this audience come from? *
In all seriousness, you’re right, it is much harder to do in this game since ranked match doe snot allow you to select your opponent. I supposed one way to mitigate that is to try to do it in the dead of night on a particularly busy weekday, where you know not a lot of people will be online. Still, even then that just seems like way too much work when you could just play. :razzy:
Controller trick? o_O
the fake local thing, using two controllers the minimize points lost.
Also, playing very late, i ususally notice i get better opponents:) No 12-year-olds
The only method I could think of doesnt even work on PSN like that. You can set up your flag to Algeria or some third world country nobody plays and have a boosting dummy do the same and search your matchmaking to “same region” . Its obvious you are gonna run into your boosting dummy 95% of the time. And after you collect your points just reset the flag again to your original region. Presto. However, this vengeance135 fellow is a PSN booster which makes it really sad cause he definitely spend a huge chunk of time going around ways to boost.
thats pretty clever actually:D, but still, you end up having A rank and sucking. gg
TOO MANY WAYS
Even with the whole ‘you can’t select your opponent’ thing in Ranked people can still boost.
A good example of this is when people delibarately set their search priorities in unorthadox ways.
For example putting the time limit to 30 and having 1 round (yep you can still set the amount of time and the amount of rounds in RANKED matches.)
and then they just stand still and beat the crap out of each other.
Too bad these matches can go on the replay channel where they are suseptible to being exposed :nono:. So guys, if you have some spare time, watch some replays you may be surprised as to what you may find
hahaha I would take your suggestion and watch some replays. Also another form of boosting is getting a free BP ride with a strong player. I know a girl who reached B rank quickly since she partnered with her BF who is actually good at the game.
I just lost 72 pts to a laggy Jack X, Heihachi team. They had the local coop sign. I think that’s some Bullshit that win more points using local coop. Thank God I don’t have to worry about that when I play on Live. And I also dont have to worry about people using their wi-fi Iphone hotspots to play online on the 360 version.
this is a “what do players message you thread” not a whine about lag thread. And iirc, you’re connection on the ps3 is pretty bad to begin with.
I should have put a disclamer on my post. I have talked about the subject on this thread. No need to act like a cyber cop bro. PSN is full of lag and trolls on multiple accounts. Like the guy who sent me the hatemail. Didn’t you read my previous entries? -____-
technically,
He did lose, and is messaging.
I am actually offended that you call Algeria a 3rd world country, as if Puerto Rico is such a rich country?
In before racewar
Well, technically he said Algeria or some third world country… really more of a slam against connections than are rare to run into than anything else. At least that’s how I took it.
Don’t spoil it now:smokin:
Don’t understand why he has to bring Algeria (Algeria isn’t btw) or any 3rd world country under the bus on the sake of a method on how to boost, that’s sad.
Perhaps I used the term wrong my apologies, but as far as using these countries for boosting purpose people have been doing it all the time. Look at Moha91 and how he got to be the top Ryu on XBL.
Puerto Rico is not even a country its a colony. We are not an independent nation from the U.S. We are still U.S. citizens and a territory. And in before you say anything. There’s educated people here that do speak english and we are not indians as a lot of Americans think of us. Something that I said as a little joke which was not even meant to be offensive but rather talking about boosting had to come down to you getting mad for no reason.
lol, what’s up with random people always calling me out and stuff. Hating is everyone’s favorite sport nowadays.
I won’t do a race war. Cause It’s not my problem he didnt understand the context of what I said.
People make a big deal out of little shit. Like this guy.
Exactly, if anything. I brought up those countries has in the fact that most of the FGC players typically the ones that play Capcom games are mostly signed under the following flags:
US, France, Canada, Spain, UK, Japan, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Brazil
Even people who don’t reside in these countries usually set their locale to any of these countries for matchmaking purposes.
If you wanna boost on SFxT particularly you wanna pick the countries with the least amount of players to get paired up with boosting dummy frequently.
Apparently, I need to make a detailed explanation on everything I say. If he got offended its not problem. I have to deal with people saying I don’t fit the puertorican stereotype everyday and I don’t get annoyed. xD
You can’t vote though, gg
