I rarely call people out because I’m not a fan of blacklisting. But I ran into this apparently infamous rage quitting shit talking guy named faceplantu on PSN. I played him and barely lost to his scrubby Ryu and Rufus as I was trying my worst team with Lili and Asuka. He then sent me a message without me saying a word saying “Nice mashing” So i replied
“Insults coming from the guy mashing DP with Ryu and random EX Messiah with Rufus? Come back to me when you play less braindead.”
So he invites me to a game and I joined it. Figuring he’d want a best of 3 I played him and beat him clean the first round. Afterwards I admitidly played troll and kept doing Juri’s jump cancel crossover over and over. He caught on in the second game and barely scraped by with a win. He then booted me from the lobby saying “FAGGOT ASS WITH LAG SWITCH! GTFO!”
Needless to say I laughed and reported him simply so he would get pissed off even more once he gets banned.
Also he played Guile and Law. So after he sent that hate message i responded with “YOU GOTTA TRAIN MOREEEEE!”
I’ve had one salty message and several friendly messages. I’m sitting about 5k BP, but I haven;t played in a while. The salty message was as follows: “mashing scrub. and another sad OP easy mode juri user”.
Naturally, the only one mashing was him. Oh, and my main character is Steve, I’m just using Juri until I figure out someone I’d rather use. I used to play Juri in SF4, so she’s familiar, and much better in SFxT.

Played a match against a dude that kept jumping against me, and I anti-aired him to death. His response was something like

then he says he gave me the match, and that I need to do something better with myself.

I had some random people from gamefaqs bugging me for games lately… I have to say its pretty annoying getting random ass invites when I’m trying to do other things, especially when I’ve been specifically avoiding playing online since I’ve been sick for the past few days.
Suffice to say, I didn’t even take playing the gem loaded guy seriously. He probably thinks he’s some kind of god at this game or something now though. /meh/
Why do people treat video games as dick measuring contests…?
The somewhat deep way of respondign to that would probably be ‘the competitive spirit of people’. But truth be told, people can and will find anything anywhere at any time to have such contests with.
Got a ‘lol good one’ message after a match where my Juri managed to catch his incoming Heihachi and descending Ken into a super. Crazy thing was when Juri’s super connected on both, and drew up Ken and Heihachi, winning the game for me.
I was completely floored by the WTF!? moment.
Well there’s a difference between being competitive and pretending like playing the game makes you better than someone. I’m competitive, but I just enjoy a good challenge and do my best to help people get better when I can. The folks I’m talking about are the ones who get all hussy fussy about winning/losing and act really obnoxious about it. Like, case in point, this guy made a whole post on gamefaqs calling me out for some reason, even though I’ve never once implied I was any kind of god at this game. It’s just obnoxious and it makes me not even want to play him seriously.
