Okay. I was actually trying Raven/Julia in some endless battle matches earlier without doing any time in the lab. He seemed like a decent match. Just. I don’t know how to play with him yet. And Cammy sounds good too. Because I totally play aggressively most of the time. I only really start slowing down when I switch Julia out so far. Thanks for the tips
Back on topic: I actually got some “kinda” hate mail when I played with Asuka/Juri not too long ago. It was two guys playing with Law and King, they seemed to fall into Asuka’s kicks a lot and her counter grab too. after the match…I got (From the Law player): “Okay, that was some total bullshit. But you’re good with Asuka. I’ll give you that” To be honest…The only combo I really did with Asuka is the double-lift kicks, j.HK, EX anti-air grab-combo. lmao
Wait… so you prefer playing aggressive? Okay. I think you should try someone like Ibuki. She is good for aggressive play if you know what you are doing. Some noteworthy characters for aggressive play might include things like Kazuya, Hwoarang, Rolento, Hugo, Zangief…
If you wish to play it safe (Mortal Kombat Walker) try Guile. You might also want to keep Juri in mind too. Juri is very consistent in this game. Have you tried Bison yet? Be sure to keep track of CPU movements/combos and each character BnB’s. Experiment with character of whom you think are capable of playing aggressively. For a good rush down game, you might want to consider Lili, Cammy, Rolento, or Kazuya.
I notice that characters like Asuka seems to get a lot of salt too. A la Geese Howard effect: TOO EASY! PREDICTABO! PATHETIC! (I say every time I manage to counteract my opponents moves with her special attacks. She is pretty fun for me to use because of it).
Ah, I’ve actually…ALWAYS WANTED TO PLAY IBUKI. Just I never ended up doing it. I remember trying to play with her back when I first got into street fighter (3rd strike). Because I loved her stage music so much. It’s pretty much the same story with Dudley. I remember hearing his stage music for 3rd strike for the first time. I was pretty much sold at the beginning. And then it seemed to get better and better until “THIS IS A STUPID DOPE MIX” after that it was a wrap. I HAD to find that soundtrack. lol
And I played with Kazuya for a while. Don’t know why I stopped. I guess I got kind of a “alt character”-itis and started playing all of these new characters
I can kinda understand, Using infinites which are going to be patched shortly is a low blow. Although as a smash player, I’m no stranger to infinites :B

After using Juri and Kaz since day 1 and basically rolling over 95% of Europeans with ease on PSN (I’m talking 20-30 win streaks on ranked, a day easy)

I understand, if my signature implies anything. Ibuki just happens to be one of my main characters of 3S, SSFIV, and this game!
In any case… Until you ae able to find a balance, you should just use Julia and any other character with aggressive game play. Ibuki has a lot trustworthy tools. I pair her with Jin Kazama to cover up for his lack of anti-air, among other things.
I believe that Ibuki and Julia will be a perfect team as they have SOOOOOOOO much potential. Ibuki tends to serve a lot of salt towards players as well, especially sense she does seem to be used very often, though I could be wrong, as I don’t really go on ranked very much.
Ibuki has a few “anti-projectile” options. What I mean is, you use HCF+P during the opponents projectile animation (do NOT do this too much with Sagat though - LOW Tiger Shot hits regardless). Or you RDP (Reverse Dragon Punch) + K for a two hit combo and then smack them with a Kunai. Julia and Ibuki also have viable anti-airs and set-ups. I think it might be time for you to sit in the lab after work/school and start playing around with those two. Julia and Ibuki team could get funny as hell, especially online!
On Topic: I just got a hate mail from a Ibuki hater saying “you’re a fuckin bitch using a broken move. ibuki has too many damn moves and she is brain dead character learn how to use combos and play the game turd.”
I haven’t heard that word “turd” sense Basic Training. And, Ibuki isn’t even THAT good in this game…! You would think you would hear something like that from playing… Rufus or even Rolento! Must have been a new player.
solidcolossus666 is back and scrubbier than ever. i’m sure the europeans here will probably know who i’m talking about. he’s bound to have sent them hate mail, seeing as he sends it to anyone that ever beats him (which is pretty much everyone). surprisingly, he’s not gone for a ryu/ken team. he’s instead opted for ryu/vega. somehow he’s got 1600bp too.
for those that don’t know, he’s basically the european version of blackhawkdown.
