What do players message you after you beat them - SFxT EDITION!

Actually Asuka’s are MUCH easier to whiff punish. Especially the ones that have even the slightest range on them. Cr.hp is god-awful on whiff, Heron dance is a free neutral jump or whiff punish, leg cutter is easy to whiff punish/neutral jump and it has even less range than Yoshi’s cr.mp I believe, and if you use it as a footsie tool oftentimes the 2nd kick will miss entirely (on block or whiff) leading to a free punish…and the rest of her normals are just T-rex limbs.

Trust me, Asuka’s neutral game is much worse than Yoshimitsu’s. It’s not all about the speed of the pokes.

True, (looks at dhalsim), however throwing out SPWM and then someone jumps at you? 50/50 the SWPM interrupts the move which is bad for Yoshi. Yosh’s walkspeed doesn’t help him much either. I’d have to fight a really good Asuka with Yoshi to determine who’s worse in the neutral game.

Don’t forget Poison breath, it’s active for days, can crumple if its the heavy version and anti air if your opponent jumps in wrong/underestimates the active frames, but yeah a bad poison breath is a free jump in.

Yeah his pokes are slow as fuck but his neutral is nowhere as bad as asuka. Asuka doesn’t have a windmill.

Windmill alone can force people not to whiff anything with noticeable recovery if you got the reactions, or call people out if they get predictable with pokes. Can’t whiff air normals within windmill range or else you’ll get caught for free, can beat stuff like mist steps most of the time, and a lot of things.

Hell you can catch characters tossing out projectiles/walking in after a projectile and then when you trade with the projectile, you can follow up with a boost chain depends on when they get sucked in It’s interesting when it trades. For example if a chun throws out a projectile and walks up, depending on the max range of the projectile and when it’ll hit, you could catch her and get a boost into launcher. Windmill does nullify projectiles occasionally but I have to test it a bit more.

It’s a great move when you have meter. Unfortunately Yoshimitsu’s “neutral” revolves around it and having meter to keep it safe. Justin was sorta right in that regard. It’d be nice if his pokes had less recovery lol.

That aside, his standing lk aint bad as a poke.

He can cancel his sweep.

Dohohohohohohoh, yeah eh.

I went from maining only yoshi with a pretty defensive playstyle to trying out Law. God damn the recovery on Law’s pokes compared to Yoshi is kinda staggering.

True, his sweep I forgot about that. It’s quite the move though being the safest CADC sweep in the game (at -2). If windmill trades with a projectile he can actually set himself up for combo punishment…which isn’t a good thing. Also, I recently figured out that since SWPM is active for 52 frames the opponent can literally stand near the edge of the windmill wait near the end of the active frames setup on the windmill get pulled in and punish yoshi upon his recovery. It’s happened a couple times already. It’s a real heartbreaker…

How Aliktea manages to keep his five stars is a mystery to me :-[

kaxblastard & Aliktea have officially united.
They call themselves DREAM RAPE.

Got my first hate-mail in…well, months. And of course it came from PSN. Nothing really special though, just a generic “**** you.”

Heihachi isn’t generating enough salt.

…and in the three days I’ve been playing PSN ranked I’ve gotten more hate-mail than in the entire year+ I’ve played on PC. The latest gem:

“lol you and your p***y combos”

…and I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean.

hehehe

Lol, PSN scrubs

If you want, I can send you some too!

This thread is redundant. Hatred in fighting games is why we play. We want to assault each other’s mind. It’s sad, but it’s better than killing each other in the streets.

If I had the power…I’d go on a mad killing spree.

First game after some weeks against a random player - totally worth it. Haters gonna hate Raven’s cr.fp. :frowning:
Was speechless, could only compliment him for his neon glowing Akuma/Ryu.
Luckily it’s all “fun”.

Now THAT makes it even better, ehehe :D/

I read it as “Have fun jiggling like a bitch”. I thought to myself that it was a really odd thing to say.

He could have been referring to Nina’s chest. Dude was so distracted he felt to message reh about it. “USING BODY PHYSICS IN THIS GAEM TO YOUR ADVANTAGE, SO CHEAP!”

Let’s see if your friendly neighborhood hate-mailer can top the salt from this one:

DSP, the greatest video game player blessing this world with his “interesting” commentary

Played on PSN this morning. Ran into a guy named Orlenoiadi2 something. I don’t care what his name was. Starts off that he recognizes me, and he’s hype to play. Couple of matches in, and he’s not very good. Plays Sagat/Ogre and just does abc chains and randomly will do ab dp with Sagat when it’s blocked because he knows it’s bad. I use my team and run my corner set ups. This seems to irritate him as he can’t figure out how to block it.

All of a sudden, he starts insinuating that I’m gay, that I’d get bodied at tournaments because I use the same set up over and over (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it), and that I’m not as good as a tournament player. Meanwhile this nigga does owl hunt or whatever Ogre’s move is called for like the 9 billionth time.

Then he’s complaining because he can’t dp out of my divekick set ups. Not the one sai came up with, just meaty divekick that avoids the tiger uppercut/ogre dp.

Freaking PSN man…

edit: forgot something. He was like, yeah you might be able to beat American players, but I bet you couldn’t mess with Japanese players. To which I promptly retort. I beat both Mago and Momochi at CEO (1 in tournament, 1 not). He shut up pretty fast when I said he can check the stream for the matches.

If you want to be the people’s champ… pick a Rog tier!
