Don’t get it twisted, we had really good matches, you’re another difficult player and I can learn a thing or two from you. I just don’t want to enter a match not warmed up because I didn’t enter training mode first lol, it’s something I almost always do before going into matches
I join his endless lobby. Few other people were in there as well. Him and 1 other guy had mics on. How he plays (Vega/Cody):
Punishes everything with full lmhh, post launch jab jab xx special (dat damage).
No anti airs, no roll punishes, no throw techs (I went for the same set up every single time yet nothing)…
Wake up supers, mashes cr normals whenever he gets the chance to do so I raw launch (when I jump in for example)
Down backs constantly when blocking: opened up so easily with overheads (again same set ups yet doesn’t block right).
Simply plays like a casual D ranker yet has A rank. Yet another case that shows how legit an indicator BP is.
When playing, he was constantly whinning/sighing. Had a 10 game win streak (playing him and his “buddies”, all high ranked as well yet not that impressive), I got kicked. Message:
“Yeh yeh we know you’re good. It’s enough already!”
My most recent ones are “You definitly have aura (or Ki like DBZ lol). seriously, you’re gifted at this game” and from someone else “noob” just 20 minutes ago.
I played that guy again, taunted from start to end and sent “lol” after destroying him. I used to stay quiet after getting hate mailed but trolling is too fun !
Hey guys! I haven’t been online in a while - couldn’t spare the money for XBL Gold because I’m dirt poor. I’m going to be back on SFxT soon hopefully, but probably playing a little less since the tournament scene is now dead.
You guys, maybe we could organise a mini-tournament / casuals at Heart of Gaming?
People are just butthurt over losing almost 50% life from one mix-up. They just assume that because a character has high damage and mix-ups they’re automatically OP.
…I mean, I even thought that Asuka was stupid good until I learned just how god-awful her neutral game is.
I’d argue that Asuka’s is worse. Yoshi’s pokes, excluding Windmill, actually have okay range (especially when compared to Asuka’s), and unlike Asuka they aren’t free to neutral jumps and can’t be whiff punished nearly as easily. And while you say Windmill isn’t a substitute, it is a very important part of his neutral game because it’s essential to conditioning your opponent. Asuka can’t do that at all unless she gets in…and she doesn’t have the neutral to get in.
Yoshi has slower pokes, easier to whiff punish, longer recovery on his normals, slow walk speed despite the buff, floaty, can’t cancel any of his heavies. SWPM is important to him…but if he has no meter it kinda ruins since he’s also - on hit (-2). It’s a good move…and it AA ability is a big hit and miss.
