Played a Ken/Ryu team yesterday. He ran away the whole match throwing fireballs and jumping back. I tagged Hugo in and destroyed him with backbreakers. In the last round I had a humongous lifelead and the last eight seconds I just stood there blocking or backdashed. The he sent me “coward pussy”.
There was this dude in the lobby that just kept hopping, like just jumping the entire match so I took it as an opportunity to practice Anti Air and Air to Air, I beat him pretty bad with Poison /Hugo, during the whole match he was like “ommmgg…ommmgg…WHAT?! ommggg” after I won he was like “yo you need to get out of my room.” And I said “That’s cool dude, but let me give you a tip, because you kept jumping I knew exactly what-” YOU HAVE BEEN KICKED.
Haha I was really just trying to help.
The truth is, it should not really matter how you play the game, as long as the player knows what he/she is doing in order for them to go for the win. I think winning by time out is pretty funny, even if it somehow happens to me at some point
I notice that a lot of people I face online… don’t REALLY know what they are doing, despite the reports, the announcements, tutorials, and videos put out on this game.
Speaking of which… I ran into a Ken/Akuma player who calls himself IOWNU55555 My team once again was Ibuki/Jin. This player was mostly on the defensive; my Ibuki was tearing his Ken to pieces and I bait him for a Shoryuken four times for punishment. (The first three times being a MP Shoryuken and the last one being a HP Shoryuken). During the first round he could not even switch out as I used Ibuki’s Target Combo: Close HP, Crouch Forward Kick, Forward Kick, and then meaty him with Ibuki jumping double kick special and her Kunai.
The second round, he… for some reason, switches into Akuma… only for him to eat a EX Neck Breaker. After then, things started to get wierd. He was apparently better with Akuma than I thought, so I spent the round poking him to death and building some meter up. He performs a LP,MP, HP, Launcher combo and tags in Ken for a… crouching MP. Ken was about to do a cross-up but I knocked him out of it with Ibuki’s wake up EX anti-air. I manage to score Ibuki’s Super on Akuma during his next switch up. And, I continue to smash him up as he keeps changing characters (using Cross Tags even while I was blocking). He even attempted Akuma’s Misogi on me FROM FULL SCREEN, knowing I was going to block it any how.
There was about 12 seconds on the clock so I… TAUNTED him from a distance (Not something I would normally do… but he was making a lot of noobish mistakes over… and over… and over again). Time over.
I got a message saying: "cheating bastard! u r a no skill haven moron u fight like a bitch"
I told him: “… And, another scrub down.”
(Taunting him may have pissed him off, but… I really didn’t know what he was trying to do. And, neither did he).
I got nothing else back.
Ugh I would have taunted him too if not just because of his stupidly obnoxious name. I also love how it’s ALWAYS the guys with no skill claiming people have no skill. Derp.
… Is there any reason why players on this game love to jump around so damn much?? It’s like they forget that they are vulnerable under these circumstance and yet…
I got one. I played Juri/Jin against Julia/Zangief. I unfortunately lost to what I felt was a lucky hit. So I messaged him ‘lucky’. He messages me back:
“You ran away the whole match and still lost…sad”
Dude was using Zangief and I have 2 characters with poor reversal options, hell yes I’ll run away!
Edit: Slight argument ensued because I felt like he was being a major jerk about it, but in the end things worked out.
If you could have switched in time Juri fucks up zangief in most circumstances given that you know how to zone with her
I average high hundreds/low thousands if that is any indication of how ‘good’ I am. And I mainly play online ranked matches in SSFIV and SFxT.
I’m not sure if i’m applying this motto to SFxTK yet or not, but in SSF4 my motto was that “Points are a lie”. I beat a 10000 BP Bison on ranked with my 2000 something Juri and then gotten trashed by someone with 200 PP in endless. But i feel the points system is better now so im not sure.
I joined InfamousBrza’s endless lobby the other day. He had his mic on, but I didn’t, and I had the volume set too low to hear him through my speakers. What I could make out sounded mostly like shock and dismay. And I did distinctly hear him say “you didn’t even let me tag out” at the end of the second round.
Even though I was the only other person in it, he booted me from the lobby after one game. I guess it’s preferable to wait quietly by yourself rather than play someone you might lose to.
Maybe the dude gets so much salt like where I do. Family’s sodium intake when grandma is around (I live with mine) goes through the roof. AND SHE WONDERS WHY SHE HAS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.
I’m curious why I never get any hate mail or any message in any game. At all.
I was aiming for them too in this game. I mean, I lost only twice on ranked and I use Guile, Ogre and Bison, yet I never got any message.
Am I hatemail proof or somethin’
It’s time to be even “cheaper” with Guile and Ogre, then.
So I played Ryu/Ken, got called a “shoryuken retard”. Played Xiao/Asuka, message was “tekken son of a bitch”.
Whatever I do, it’s the wrong thing… mad people everywhere.
… Sorry you had to deal with that. But, why would he think you would let him tag out anyway? Derp.
Once again! It goes like this.
- If you win. = “YOU CHEATED!!!”
- If you don’t let your opponent tag out = “You’re supposed ta let me tag out”
- If they fall for the same move more than a few times = “U cheap spammin’ bastard”
- If you use a certain character = (Insert what you just said)
- If you’re using a gems = “F U and ur gems. They are not part of the game!”
- If you smash a story-mode scrub and the character they love = “NOOOOOOO Akuma is invincible! He NEVER loses to Lili!!! That’s NOT the story!!!”
- If you win by time out = U r afraid and boring!"
- If you decimate the opponent in a mirror match = “Jin Kazama is NOT allowed to do that! HE CAN’T DO THAT!”
- If you win using Pandora = “Pandora sucks and you do too!! LOLOLOLOLOLOL…”
- If you win perfectly = “You ain’t nothing but a big fat, cheating, no-skill havin’ bitch! I OWNS U AND DIS GAME!”
- If you win without using complex attacks = “U suck. U can’t combo worth shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.”
- If you use too many throwing moves = “U stupid punk! STOP GRABBING! THE’RE BROKEN”
- If you beat the opponent in a even match = “NICE LAG WIN, FAGGOT!”
Did I miss anything? Do these people want you to let them win?
I sure as hell hope not.
Dude sent me “GG! You’re really good!” after I double perfected him using only Paul. I think he was being sarcastic so I replied with “I hate you more than anything in the world and I wanna set you on fire.”
What a dick, man.
…And…what if he was being honest, what then?
yes you are…why would he be sarcastic if you double perfected him? That’s like winning the noble prize in physics and someone says good job, you’re really smart…how do you take that as a sarcastic comment?
