What are your least favorite character archetypes?

The comment goes to give nod to Juri’s permisquis behavior. The way she refers to Chun having a “schoolgirl crush” leads some people to believe she swings that way.

Well, then, she’s more or less bisexual. Her sexuality has never been confirmed anyway, she acts how she acts regardless of her opponent’s gender.

To whoever mentioned Taekwondo: so what? She represents Taekwondo about as much as Ryu or Ken represent Kyokushin Karate or Sagat represents Muay Thai. They all have a handful of moves from their style, mixed in with fireballs. No, Taekwondo fighters don’t fight on one leg, I know; Juri is like Jhun from KOF in that respect. She’s all about the kicking though, and some of her normals are textbook ITF Taekwon-Do.

Back on topic. I hate:

excessively bishounen/Benimaru/Ash/types
all loli
all horror and gruesome for the sake of it types (see Skullgirls)
parody characters
charge characters

in fact…I hate most character archetypes, to be honest. There’s usually that one character in a game though, that keeps me interested.

I’m supposed to be dead and/or dying but I’m still alive(Gen, Rose, Gouken) also characters that have NO backstory and are just tossed into games(Ingrid, Oni) the other character it worked for was Q.

Oni was a completely unnecessary addition. I was indifferent towards Gouken. I am still trying to figure out why Rose was even in SFIV in the first place despite not being too relevant. Ingrid did not fit into the series AT ALL.

Ms. Fortune is pretty gruesome. She rips her head off and makes it move around the stage by shooting blood out of her neck. Plus she has that one move where she takes herself apart and wraps her opponent in a ball of yarn made out of her tendons. That move freaks me out.

Speaking of Ms. Fortune, catgirls tend to bug the crap out of me.

Miss Fortune - the whole zombie schtick.
Lilia - spiky hair like demons tails, those kinds of motifs shit me off.
Peacock - not so much “horror” or “gruesome”, but the whole frankenstiein-ish/bits-and-pieces-meshed together kind of design doesn’t do it for me. Also falls into parody character category based on her moveset. Peacock is 13, and so falls into loli category as well.

I’m pretty fickle, I guess.

I’ve hated every archtype at one point or another, and then I tried them out (or main/ed them). But now and forever the only archtypes I will hate are lolis and loud-ass girls who create the entire game’s treble when they yell out their attack name. Why must japan harm my ears?
