What are your least favorite character archetypes?

I’m not too fond of Juri either. She’s a sadistic women with very few ties to taekwondo. Her 2nd alt. is on the tryhard side, and many people consider her to be a lesbian.

I woulda preferred something more stereotypically Korean like maybe a character who powers up by downing a soju bottle or a SC progamer.

-The bland or lame designed character that gets popular thanks to tier whores (Ae Yun, Vanilla She-hulk, Vanilla Tron, Ultimate Spencer)

Ehh, I don’t necessarily have a least favorite archetype. I mean they can all work, it’s all on how the devs handle that character. Wait I’m lying, I’m not really too fond of the military brat type characters. I mean I guess it works to an extent, but I’m not a big fan of that archetype if only because it can be done rather poorly at times.

The whole “power is everything” routine gets old rather quickly. I once liked Jin Kazama as a character and even rooted for him in Tekken 4. Overtime, his personality and his story entered yet another status quo phase and got bland… and then in Tekken 6, he pulls a Kazuya on us an suddenly becomes the main bad guy for some odd reason (which sounds good on paper, but this sudden change in personality is just… weird). Jin could have easily dealt with the issue with Azazel much better than he did. Miguels sister would have been okay. No war would take place (well not with the world but Kazuya would probably instigate this). The only thing that Jin would have to worry is Kazuya… and Heihachi. Lars would have probably helped Jin stop Kazuya and Heihachi… so many thing could have been afforded but the idea got botched…

truth. Jin at first WAS an interesting character then they just figured he needed to be an asshole for some reason.

White dudes with dreads are usually dopers, slackers, or bums. I don’t mind Spencer himself though.

The only characters I have a problem with are the “Spunky girl who believes in love!” and the Dark, Broody swordmen who never speak because they has a dark and troubled past.

For real though, Aino Heart made me want to kill myself.

I’m supposed to be dead and/or dying but I’m still alive(Gen, Rose, Gouken) also characters that have NO backstory and are just tossed into games(Ingrid, Oni) the other character it worked for was Q.

Morrigan being sexualized doesn’t bother because she’s a succubus and that’s the entire point of a succubus. But seeing a character like Ivy who’s sexualized for no reason kind of bothers me. She’s the rich, genius daughter of a pirate who invented a living sword to save the world. Why they decided that her personality should be a cruel dominatrix baffles me. I didn’t even know she was a good guy for years.

How about because she’s not actually a lesbian? People just run with the idea because it gets their mind filled with dirty thoughts. Same with those guys that go “DAT ASS” when looking at Chun who doesn’t have an ass. It’s pathetic.
