Ordering sticks/buttons tonight, people are being slow fucks telling me the colors they want.
Staining and sealing sticks this week (probably tomorrow), if you want your box a specific color let me know, otherwise I’m just going to darken it to give it a nice color.
Parts should arrive sometime next week, so with any luck… done by next weekend?

Im just gonna let my faceplate pic carry all the color, unless you think it wont look good.

i was generally going for ALL WHITE (Sticks, button, and case)…then just place a pic on there of some anime character with white background (or anime char with light color(s) background)
what do you think? good idea or no?
Sounds good, I hadn’t started on your case yet so I’ll get some white paint from Lowes on my way home from work in the morning.
Bear Bones: What’s good with this weekend?
Still solid for Friday (tomorrow). We’ve got the location, and the players. Looking to start gathering everyone up at around 4-5pm, and playing until somebody cracks. I’ll send you guys a pm with my number, and you can call for directions whenever you’re heading into town. It’s not hard to find.

Good matches tonight. I’m pretty sure I’m dropping C.Viper, I just can’t play her. Dhalsim seems like my guy now, I was having fun with him.
Yeah, I think everyone had a pretty cool time. Here’s hoping the handful of guys who couldn’t show are able to make it next time around.
Chances are I’ll main Chun for now, though I’ll probably start grinding out a Fei-long game to back that up. Had planned on Sakura filling a spot, but I’m just not feeling any of her match-ups. It’s looking like too much work for what little reward I’m feeling off a win.
Not a huge fan of Fei due to his complete inability to combo his Ultra, but he does have a few cool things. I’m sticking with the plain and simple for now, and Dhalsim pretty much covers that. Keep away, fireballs, limbs? I can do that.
Muffin: Might be a bit longer on the stick, Akihabara shop has gotten about 300 orders since I placed mine; with any luck I’ll have the parts this week but don’t hold your breath.

Hopefully the weather warms up so I can put the last coats of polyurethane on the cases before the weekend. It doesn’t take long to dry/set, but I need the temp to be between 60-90 and doing it with windows closed is a bad bad bad idea.
The three function buttons (start, select, home/guide) will be 24mm seimetsus with a clear plunger. This means I can put art underneath them. I was going to put the names of the individuals I was making the sticks for to add another layer of identification in case someone tries to swipe the stick. If you want this I guess PM me how you want your name formatted (not sure if you want to use your real name or not, I was thinking something like “First Name ‘Nickname’ Last Name”, but I’ll pop in whatever you want, if anything).
If you want anything else underneath any of those three buttons let me know, I’ve been toying with ideas myself.

I like the idea of having my name on it, but if its visable i’d like it designed nicely so it looks good.
Do you have an example of these clear buttons with pics underneath. i dont quite understand what you mean.

From another thread, not my work, just showing you an example. This guys stick is pretty cool. The buttons would be on the front of the stick like the ones in this picture, three of them.
Apparently buttons/sticks arrived Saturday, but I was asleep (darn evening shift) so I missed them, I have to go in Monday morning to pick them up. DPDT switches came in, I’m just waiting on the quick disconnects which should arrive tomorrow. I’d say all four cases are done on Wednesday most likely.

OK I get it now. i wouldnt mind little pics underneith those 3 buttons. what i have in mind is maybe all white pic with black japanese kanji under each button that says: START, SELECT, HOME. If you want i can go and look for the Kanji i want.

i would like to go to a tourney soon myself. i havent been in a while. my one problem is i have work the following monday morning, so i dont know if could make it an entire weekend on videogames then arrive home late sunday night. imma continue thinking about it. i might go
I’ve taken Sunday night off (darn working nights).
If you want to shoot me those images, as well as whatever you want on the face of the stick (if anything, for now it’s just wood painted white) I’d be glad to print it up and slap it on there for you. I just ordered a high quality printer as I’ll need it for other ventures so it should come out looking pretty snappy.

So what’s happening, guys? When’s the next solid date everyone’s got open for casuals? I think we’re preferring Fridays on this end, but can work that around conflicting weekend schedules if need be. Just shipped my defective SE stick off, so here’s hoping I’m not still pad-bound at the next session.
