what it do my name is zay and i play marvel. i live in memphis tn. i dont get much comp. i play mvc2 on ps2 and arcade. i got my own arcade stick. im looking for comp in the memphis area. i am 17 and ready to fight some real comp. i think i played jonah a long time ago. he played wit msp. that inspired me so now that is the team i play with. i kno i can beat him at his own game now. thats if this is the jonah im talkin bout. but im ready to comp finally so can yall let me kno where yall play and who yall are. im here to make friends.

CVS, eh? Part 2 or 1? I’m actually returning to the Atlantic South. I left December 1996 from Miami, FL and now 10 years later I am back in some small fashion, just a lot has changed (the Miami scene is now completely different (no old school players left) and all console. I’ll probably hit up some SC tourneys or Atlanta tourneys but I am HOPING peeps from this area will head to MWC Chicago this year. Good things in store.

okay dude i’ll relay the info. More tournies are def needed in the south and I can vouch for Kyah(bobsmack) and say that he throws the dopest tournies. He is very fair and is always willing to help in anyway. I think the south’s scene has no where to go but up
It was CvS1, but it was the year they debuted 2 - I never got to play b/c I didn’t feel like waiting.
I remember when you were here before, actually - I tried to arrange some MK matches with you back in '96 (you probably don’t remember that), but you were gone before anything came to light. Heard you were the man to beat, wanted to try my luck. Should have put “welcome back” to the A.S., I guess.
I have a good friend that lives in Nashville, so the next time I come to visit I’ll let you know and maybe we can set up something. Oh, and of course I’ll have to visit Scott (hi Scott).

There is a large NC tournament coming up in Goldsburo. The event itself is called the G2Expo.
The event encompasses many aveunes of gaming. During the day, there will be many, MANY stations for both CASUAL and tournament play.
The event is on Jan 27th, 2007. Please check out the thread, and post in it to show your support.
Also, Jwong is coming down with us to ensure a competitve event. We all look forward to seeing ya’ll.

AlphaKami: Sure, I’ll play ya in ST as soon as I get there. Do you have an arcade cabinet yourself, or do you play console? I’m pretty proficient in anything not 3D (sans Marvel), so I’ll play any fighting games that aren’t named Dead or Alive.
I might even play some Guilty Gear, Tekken 5 DR, and Virtua Fighter stuff, but don’t expect much.

I need to get my reaction times up, that is my one big weakness in 3s and esp ST.
