was a little bored so i put this shit together, nothing special just a few combos here and there.also be on the lookout as i post some matches in a few weeks from the jax tourney that’s coming up this weekend.
yo ma nigga wut u been up to? when u headed down here to the sunshine state?:wgrin: yea that combo vid was just something small i’ll do a better one when i get the time.i was really tired when i put that together and was too lazy to re-editing it so i left it like that.yea just getting ready for saturday’s tourney i’m planing on doing some serious beasting too:lovin:
thats good to hear that your still pulling strong in marvel. i’d didnt even know people still played that thing, well, as robustly as people do nowadays. then that can be blamed that the scene here in the m-town is currently and officially dead.
the last time i played is when i play “rookie”. i beat him 2 out of the 3 games we played by luck finishing it off with MSP. after that, i called it quits. he’s a beast:sweat:
yea marvel is still played really strong.there’s so many players hell evo alone had mad marvel peeps.right now we trying to build up the marvel scene here in fl and it’s going pretty good too we have a decent amount of players for this weekend’s tourney.
**WHAT UP TN!! Dayam you guys holdin it down for Altlantic South, good shit! Where do you guys play? Any good arcades where all the top players gather? Is the turn out for certain games better at certain locations like here in CA. WHere do all the Capcom players play and where do all the Namco players play?
Yeah you’re right, it is Basic Instrucions, I didn’t see that he had Biblical, and yes it is from killah priest. Couldn’t remember if it was from him or GZA. And I just assmued he liked Wu-Tang, since Priest and GZA are affiliated with Wu. Damn I fuckin lost that CD. Killah Priest is a real Emcee. Im a little suprised u know about him. U like any other Wu-Tang artists, or albums?
CPS: U comin to Tennessee or somethin?? What part? Turnouts for tournaments arent as high as Cali (I used to live in San Diego), but they have good gamers here. Just not enough, and they’re spread all throughout the entire state. The best source of competition is probably in Memphis though. They have the states best Tekken player, and thats what they mainly play. Matter a fact, thery’re having a tournament in Mempis Oct 14th. There are only a handful of Marvel and GGXX players. The best player in Marvel resides in Nashville, but mainly Tennessee is a Tekken state. When are u coming and what games do u play?
hey guys, we’re throwing another lexington KY tournament on november 18th with CASH prizes. throw together a couple cars and make your way north. taz, eugene, bring some other guys with you this time. i hope to meet my neighbors to the south on the 18th!
Sorry Daniel, not enough money to travel since I gotta save for when I move. Plus that date; Nov. 18th. Thats Michigan vs. Ohio St. Auburn vs. Alabama. USC vs. Cal. Too much important college football to miss, but I aint got no money anyway. Sorry bro.
Hey all, I was in TN last year around this time. Just thought I would let anyone that cares know I am moving to TN next year sometime, specifically in the area of Nashville. I plan on opening an arcade/game store, which might take a little while (a year or so since I am going to start small with a flea market) and try and bring a bit more tournament life to the area. What I really need is some input:
What does everyone really play out in TN? From what I understand, it’s mostly Guilty Gear, Marvel, then 3rd Strike in that order?
In terms of arcades with the best competition, is it ONLY Snooker’s in Antioch?
I’m probably going to have a LOT of free time on my hands, and may even opt to get a retail location up and running sooner with hybrid console/arcade stations, but I would really like some input from the players, and to see if there really is a market/scene out here.
I will support your arcade to no end wilson.
YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
We have to play 3s again…i have gotten way better Do you remember beasting me and us talking about tips n tricks?
Will you teach me MK??
There is a big scene for Tekken here, then GG, then marvel and 3s.
WE NEED TO MAKE A ST AND MK SCENE!!!
If there was a arcade people would come from Ga, sc, ky, md, va etc. I’m sure of it. they all come to atl for final round.
Sure, we can play 3s again =) I’ll even bring my 3s cabinet out there to play!
Ok, so lots of Tekken, GG, MVC2, and a little 3s. No ST or CVS2? As much as I hate CVS2, I don’t mind playing it as long as it’s arcade only, and not console video x-copy watching players (no offense to anyone, but that’s how most people under the age of 25 learn SF games these days).
From what I recall Sdouble, you live REALLY far from Nashville, though, correct?
DreamTR, your gonna find it really hard to play people in Nashville. Out here its not like u can go to an arcade and play 20 or more people, day in and day out. You’ll be lucky to play 10 people, and u probably know this. But they’ll be scrubs and stop playing after you whoop their ass anyway. Its all about who u know. Forget arcade, you’ll be calling people, going online and setting up dates and times on when ya’ll can play, cause those are the only good players. And even with that, those players may not have as much time to play as u would like. Nashville is just not a good gaming scene. You have like 3 - 6 harcore gamers, in a handful of games, and they’re all spread out in the middle Tennessee area. If your a passionate gamer, Nashville is a nightmare. You want to be in a hot bed of gamers, and the best place in Tennessee is #1 Memphis, or #2 Knoxville. Oh and prepare to do some traveling, cause the Nashville gamers don’t provide that elite competition. Memphis and Knoxville do, both about 3 hrs or more away. But if you really want some competition, take a drive down to ATL(Atlanta). They have very good players and can give u comp in all games. ATL is about 4hrs, or a little more, away. Thats just been my experience bro. I used to live in San Diego, and played against great competition all the time. Quite a different experience in Nashville.
I’ve never played him but there is a good super turbo player who lives an hour from me. he is Alphakami on here and he got 4th place in a st tourney at Final round in atl a while back.
me and him have been pming and are going to get together to do some gaming.
taz is right about things being spread out. but i’m sure lots of people will come play though for tekken. tekken is huge in tn.
I think if you had a good venue there could be a major happen once or twice a year! esp b/c you have the machines and resources
ky has a little bit of a tourney scene, last page pobolo was throwing one.
Tn borders on a lot of states…like 9 right?
so i think that people will come from all over for tournies. Srk has alot of members.
