I noticed that TVC: UAS isn’t on the roster, but would it be possible for us to bring a setup? I’m sure the room to be used probably has limited space due to games/players/spectators/etc. but do you think there would be enough room?
I’m not sure if we will have BYOC space. We’re going to space out the room soon, so I’ll try and let you know.

Marvel team MM being nixed really sucks, I must admit. Really nothing there worth watching – I don’t feel like seeing footsies for 40 minutes just to see someone ultra through a fireball or meaty on wakeup. SF4 may have more of a viewing than Marvel, but it doesn’t mean it has a community even comparable to Marvel’s.
SF4 is XBox generation. People stay at home, have a couple of friends at best come over a couple of times a week to play. Small cliques, niches of friends. Spend most days online practicing against the people who then show up to the tournaments and get deuced.
Marvel is arcade generation, where a plethora of people would assemble at arcades for casuals multiple times a week. Dozens of players being in a cramped, hot arcade. Strangers don’t always get along, of course there will be some hate over some randomness that causes a loss.
Marvel was a lifestyle people took on, SF4 will never reach a level that gets in your head like that, not with the game being revamped every year (Super Turbo incoming, right? Don’t forget those console characters!) because it gets booorrring.

NEWSFLASH, SF4 Arcade is not the standard in the competitive scene so of course people are playing at each others houses and LAN centers. And the tourneys are stacking in more $$$$ than any game out right now.

Potter,Shadyk,Clockwork,David Le,SooMighty, etc etc all got beat up by me and Duc for many years til they ended up dominating the SoCal scene. Ask them yourself.

I could’ve said the same shit about the mvc2 generation back in the days like you are with SF4, but I chose “community growth” instead. Most of those guys I’m still cool with today and we’re still playing together after all these years.

Attacking a single person is not the way to go about a discussion and/or debate, however groundless you see it. I can understand you being salty about being washed up at pretty much everything you’ve ever taken seriously in a gaming scene, but that doesn’t mean that the players who outplay you still to this day (and would even if you had stayed on the Marvel cabs, chump) are to be looked down upon because you had a short-lived top player status in the only game that has been repped at Evo this long.
For shits and (my) giggles, you should enter Marvel this year so we can all have a laugh when you get scraped out of pools by new players – again, (SF4 related here) playing with your three best buddies at your house will never step up your game like an arcade will, and Marvel is the only game that brings people out for anything other than tournaments or a couple quick games on the way home.

We are going with the model of $40 per team. $30 to the pot. This is outside of the main draw tournament so for those that go only on Friday, you’ll have something to participate in. For those that already or will sign up, it’s just an extra 3 bux.

Nobody is saying Marvel sucks or not to play Marvel.
You are telling people on a public forum that SF4 players are inferior to the Marvel community on baseless points of hate.
What is the point of you telling people your hate for a community if nobody from the SF4 community is talking shit to you?
