Anyways I know later you said something about NorCal not being there, but I know chunk will be there, crizzle will be there and seejay will too. SF4 will bring the latter 2 and chunk will play regardless. As stated before if you’re insisting that wong/hyo don’t be on the team else you won’t play, we can always run a 3 on 3/ 4 on 4.
You can’t call it team socal but not accept the socal residents/players. If you want old soCal, you’re still at a loss. Finesse doesn’t play anymore, duc,soo,potter,bill don’t play any more, clock is more focused on sf4 and doesn’t play marvel any more really (out of his own mouth). Mike Ross is sf4, reset doesn’t really play marvel any more, illan quit. Without wong/hyo Socal would be me, mmds(who a lot of people don’t even consider a top socal player), neo (who is just as new to top player socal status as wong is), and 2 random people who either quit years ago and are now washed up or never were super good to begin with. So if we’re gonna do socal, we’re gonna go with socal today, not retrospective socal.

so chunk is no longer going? i heard tinh/crizzle/cableguy/see jay are still attending, so why not run a 4v4 or 3v3? like MOST of the socal players we all agree wong/hyo shouldnt be on the team, nothing against them personally but physically residing in a location does not mean you have the right to represent what that locality has meant for the past 10+ years. and thats fine we can run neo/fanatiq/me/xx… like potter menioned possibly shady k or others, it can be a set team or play a ffa qualifier if theres enogh good people that are willing. either way norcal if you lose its a freeroll so why not?

If you Marvel guys need one of us to coordinate this to happen, it’s probably best to speak up now. We need to finalize this in the next couple of days. Otherwise we’ll be canceling this event and possibly starting a SF4 3v3 instead.

I mean unless I’m wrong on this, Neezy or those who are coming down would be greatly appreciated if they post sayin they are or not coming. Its great that Reset heard from Neezy or some other source although confirmation from the players up in NorCal would be easier rather than playin this carousel game going in circles n circles.

I also wanted to state that I will no longer compete in the mvc2 5v5 or 4v4. It’s just too much controversy over it, so to help make things more simple I wish not to compete. SF4 is more important to focus on right now and I’d much more rather see a 3v3 go down.

Kai and I talked it over and we’re going to opt for the SF4 3v3 for Friday night. We’re working out the details and more info should be available soon. All of the 3v3 would commence and complete on Friday night.
As of right now, Kai and my concern is that there may be players that can only make Friday night, so we are not going to charge the full venue fee for the 3v3. We may make a small flat rate per team that signs up to run it.
I’m thinking $40 a team, with $30 going to the pot. It would then come out to $3.33 per player registration for the 3v3 and would be outside of the main tournament games. This way, if you’re going to be part of the main tournament, you only pay an extra three bucks to enter the 3v3, and if you can only make Friday, then you’re not paying $25-30. This seems pretty fair.

I agree with your sentiment about being worldwide. SF4 has revived our failing arcade scene, and brought out many new challengers. Also, our impression of Marvel is DarkPrince, if that’s the type of image the Marvel crowed enjoys so be it, but it leads to diminished respect, compared to the contribution and sportsmanship the SF4 crowd has put together here. There’s not only Japan to watch, there’s also America’s SF4 scene, and a big event there usually tends to be the talk of the arcade here for awhile. I look forward to the videos this 3v3, go for broke.

Absolutely! Even if you’re not playing, you should come out and be a part of the community. The ballroom is huge this year. Over a third of the space from last year’s Warzone adds up for this year.
Aksys Games will also be there with their own demo booth of their products. So please come and spectate! We will enjoy your company.
