Try doing j. :l:, j.:h:, j. :s: loop. You can probably delay the jump loop slightly to bring them low enough to get hit by a st. :h:, then you can wall bounce into simple air combo.
You don’t really need the j.L in the combo, that scales it a lot. j.H + j.S will do it just fine.
No. There’s a lot more leniency than you think with the teleport and the height. I can understand the issue with the Jaguar Kick however. You can always forget the Jaguar Kick (after some looking into I’ve found that it’s still pretty useless even with residentevilrulz’ contributions) and dash under after the air Samurai Edge and do cr. H, S, j.H, Phantom Dance which does 770k, about 15k less but a lot easier.
That’s because without the Jaguar Kick the combo is, as far as timing goes, entirely different. With the kick, no, there’s not a whole lot of leniency anywhere to be found. The Jaguar Kick forces timing adjustments for the entire string leading up to it. Without the kick it becomes the same simple combo many people have been doing for months.
How many times have you tried it? I had the same issue when I was first trying it out with the Jaguar Kick, I can get it pretty consistently now. It’s not as hard as you’re implying, you just need to learn the timings.
Not a whole lot. Maybe 20-25 attempts (of which maybe 3-5 were successful). Like I mentioned before, I don’t really presently have a reason to know it so I didn’t try all that hard. If I didn’t think I might be able to push my BnB to 1.05 mil by hodge-podging it into my combo, I wouldn’t have bothered at all lol.
I’m sure it probably is easier than I’m implying (if you want to learn it that badly anyway), but I’m also sure you’re probably a whole lot better off not bothering. The extremely mild amount of meter and damage the Jaguar Kick adds ain’t worth the risk imo.
With my own personal BnB, I actually managed to get more damage without the Jaguar Kick, so I can agree if you don’t want to use it there. Plus it’s a whole lot easier.
You can at least add a Phantom Move H followup to the original BnB, such as a j.S or an air Samurai Edge. That’s easy enough.

You don’t seem to be getting me here. Without the Jaguar Kick nothing has been added. The Jaguar Kick is the only thing that makes the combo “new” and/or difficult. People have been doing the Phantom Move H -> j. S/j. Samurai Edge portion for a long time.
I am speaking -specifically- of the Jaguar Kick portion of the combo. That’s the only problematic portion of the combo. The rest of it is just an old, relatively basic Wesker combo.
I did get you. Even so, nobody’s adding the Phantom Move H followup so it’s just a simple suggestion if you’re not doing it already.
::Shrug:: Everybody around here has known about the Phantom Move H followup for months (perhaps over a year at this point). It’s a relatively unnecessary addition, so people don’t do it all of the time, but it’s well-known nontheless. Now, everybody doesn’t always use it in tournament play, especially given that anchor “Dark Wesker” is still probably the most used Wesker (where it becomes a pointless hassle to perform), but other than that it’s a very old, basic followup to 236M. Look at the 1st page in the thread. A variation of it is listed in the very first combo using j. H instead of S or Samurai Edge. It’s used several more times after that I’m sure.

You can link S or a Cobra Strike if you do Maximum Wesker high up in a combo. This is old Vanilla tech though so you might want to go check out older posts for more info on it.
It all depends on positioning, height and your reactions. It’s a link so you can’t really mash it.

Just switched my team order from anchor Wesker to having him up front. I need a decent BNB or two for point Wesker-B / Vergil-Y / Magneto-A. Looking forward to DHC’ing into spiral swords, but I don’t like using the wall bounce during the Wesker combo, since Vergil gets an extra sword loop in corner if you save the wallboucne. Not sure what the optimal combo is with this team layout. Any help would be awesome!
