well i can easily takedown a level 3 xfactor level 3 pulling this shit off… its them drones i cant get round man… it really is difficult for my team. yeah i reckon im in need of a beam assist. Nah berserker slash doesnt have its invulnerability 
Nothing super special, standard wolvie 21 hits into dpool OTG then berserker slash into hyper berserker barrage, cancel into happy trigger, X factor, guns then happy trigger again back into wolvie berserker barrage then into skrull inferno… talking 350 hits in training mode. a good mix up i like to use is berserker slash just after calling skrull assist, and it knocks them into tenderizer, juggles them for a little then i dive kick and start wolvies combo’s then katana rama OTG etc…
Ive tried using d pools assist but it shoots upwards, and he still gets caught by the gunshot or the drones

and my friend IS a scrub… not a noob. He still plays his old team against people he knows he can beat in a lobby who aren’t that good. but knows he can only beat me using this tactic. its not even a case of using the team, he doesnt know really any good set ups or combos. and admits he cant pull of a shoryuken shape. the point is I could use this matchup and beat him… I guess i just refuse to and it is kind of lame :S like i said, it just ruins the game for me. The point Im making is weskers gunshot should be more of a hadouken shape then tap B. it doesnt make sense why it is just simply hold forward and tap B
except he doesn’t. mindlessly doing ANYTHING at all is going to get you punished. it falls to you to learn how to punish it so that he can no longer get away with it.
yes it does. It’s one of his tools that Capcom gave him as a command normal, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. adding a quarter circle motion to the move doesn’t make it any more difficult to do, and only helps people like you feel superior for being able to do an easy motion. you keep mentioning that your friend can’t do a shoryuken motion, but that doesn’t make him a scrub. a scrub is someone who complains about things and wants them to change so that they don’t have to work to beat it. if anyone here is being a scrub, it’s you with your complaints about Sent drones (as good as they are, they are far easier to punish than you’d think)
Okay ive got some bad feedback on here im sorry. ive just tried the grab and it did work a couple of times and avoided the drones when it didnt do breakaway… what i mean is is that because they are just tapping H… and holding forwards… they have a gunshot, teleport, overheadkick and breakaway all covered by mindlessly bashing H… My point about concentrating is that if i jump in the air and see someone just about to grab i have to quickly react and hit H to breakaway… this guy is not… he knows he’s not good… just knows he can keep mashing H and calling an assist and have lots of aspects covered. Surely somebody can see what i’m on about here?! the point of the post is that I think wesker is to high reward for too little effort, and im just saying that spoils the game for me

We take a quarter circle motion for granted though… my friend would not be able to pull them off in fast succession like he can by holding forwards and mashing it. please just try it and tell me how you get around it?? what team do you use? it would be much appreciated because a lot the advice ive been given on here doesnt work and is redundant. how would you counter this? and what are your characters???

pretty much the gist of this thread.
look at my sig. I play Firebrand/Super Skrull/Taskmaster. a Wesker doing assist > gun > teleport is gonna get bon voyage’d for free, leaving me skating past drones and ultimately leading to a dead Wesker through a reset into unblockable. with Skrull, i’d wait for the assist call and Meteor Smash for free damage on Sent and possibly on Wesker if i tag him before he teleports. With Task, i can respond with horizontal arrows. Task’s hit box actually shrinks to below where the bullet would be when he does his l arrows, so the bullet whizzes over my head and Wesker eats arrows.
and even with a quarter circle motion, there would only be a few tenths of a second added onto the time it took to do the gun > port. quarter circle motions don’t add any sort of difficulty to a move, and SRK motions only tack on a few more tenths of a second in comparison. none of these would help anything except for you to beat your friend who doesn’t take the game seriously. you’d still get destroyed in a tournament by anyone running this tactic if they slapped a motion input onto the move.
whats your point, he’s meant to get in there and build meter for nothing. However, almost every other character is better than him, if you are willing to put in the work.

however it would definately make it that little bit more difficult or give the user a chance to possibly fuck it up in the heat of the battle and maybe a confusion of which direction after a berserker slash comes from behind… would definitely make it a lot harder to keep spamming and it would be more risky, therefore the player would choose not to use it. they choose to now because its so easy! i have done a couple of mashed air grabs straight into katanarama OTG then started a comb from there but then he still isnt dead! maybe a katanarama OTG into snap back then get rid of sent??? that could just be the thing im looking for!!
