I dont know about SF4 though, people who mostly plays Remix avoid SFIV w/ a passion.

LEAGUE ANNOUNCEMENTS: Bios! You need to write them… I need them! A common thread was that people wanted a copy of one to copy off of, never mind in this thread, I’ve posted an example, perhaps Thelo will post his for the group to see, its quite good (That crazy Canadian is good at everything…)

ALSO: I have made a reporting spreadsheet for everyone to use so they can report their results more easily. It seems to me that people have difficulty reporting their results correctly so I’m going to make it so simple even a JigglyNorris can do it. I’ve put a blank example here… http://thelo.ca/uploads/files/Results%20Reporting%20for%20HDR.xls You’ll notice on the first line under 1P and 2P is a drop down menu containing a list of all the known players in our league and then for each space in character used, there’s a drop down menu, listing all the SF characters in alphabetical order, so I know who you played, who you fought and who won what. It’s all drop down menus so it should be simple enough to navigate. (Knowing Thelo he’ll look at it for two seconds and improve it…)

What’s the criteria for making it to the brackets? I thought it was top 2 in your pool?
Well, if we have three pools there will be two pools that take 3 people into the tourney. Also, if we have drops, if its reasonable, we’ll take the next person from the pool which dropped. Mars and GoldenArch both couldn’t make it last night so we scrambled to make the adjustments and put the next people into those spots and reseed the tournament appropriately.
PFW, don’t worry about it, its no big deal at all. Just remember, even if you’re close and could be an alternate, keep your eyes on the thread and keep up with the info coming out. But there’s always next week, so keep the sonic booms coming!

do we have week 2 finals videos uploaded? I looked on the WWL channel but wasn’t able to find them.
I have a suggestion: A lot of these matches are fun and exciting, and maybe silverrain could make a playlist of “notably exciting matches” … matches that are either very close, or a good demonstration of a matchup, or feature two players with a long awaited history of highting, or something like that… Right now there’s a lot of videos to wade through so it would be nice to have a place for people to start to get the “best of”.
I really wish the audio was recorded when everyone went ape shit over that win I got on Thelo. Crazy stuff.
My tourney videos aren’t uploaded yet, I’m processing them right now and will upload them over the night.
Well when the website goes up, I’m going to make individual playlists for every person in the league that will be linked to in their bio page and of course in your highlights clip on your page we’ll do some of that as well. For now, I want as much exposure as we can get.
I do think Zass is onto something. If people who are watching these matches (and I hope you’re watching as many as you can, support your fellow players! Keep their spirits up with many views! Comment on their matches, give them advice, that’s another great thing about youtube, if you see something at 1:08 and say you think a player could have done something differently, please feel free to give them that advice in a friendly manner via the comments section) If though, certain matches stand out and you say “That should be in the greatest matches in WWL history playlist.” Then let me know that too.
Maybe we can have a weekly vote on the best matches and I’ll make a playlist from those. I think all the tournament matches should (in theory) be good. But you’re right about pool play, and it doesn’t help that for pool play only certain people can record, I’ve got tons of Thelo and Alex in pool play, but not much of everyone else, or only of them playing those people, I’m trying to figure out a work around for that. After the league grows a little more, our website gets up, and we start getting some traffic there, I’ll probably buy my own recording set up and pick a random match to record from each pool.

IMO, you should assume that JusticeBDSFEFSDwhatever isn’t going to show again. He was MIA the last two weeks and I haven’t seen him post. Unless he’s been in contact with you directly.
Also, I’d be willing to record matches from PST pools.
Well, the rules say you go three weeks and then suspension, and I’ve heard from just about everyone else who’s missed so we’ll see…
I mean if you’re going to be up at 11:00 (I mean of course you are…) then yeah, pick 8 matches, try to get different people and let them know you’ll be there. Make sure to get every person at least once if you can.
