Hey everyone, I’m new here and I’m not really sure where to post this so I figured the new player thread couldn’t hurt. I’ll introduce myself and say I’m new to the fighting genre, played a lot of Starcraft competitively but I always to switch. Got PS3 for christmas and immediately busted into SF2HD and been playing since pretty much. I’m decent and love the game if anyone wants to play but I’m really interested if there is anyone in my city on this forum. I looked around and found nothing about Windsor so I’m asking here.
Anyone from Windsor? Could I make a Windsor thread? I don’t want to spam garbage threads ;p

hey everyone, so I’ve been holding out on buying a console for the longest time, but I have to give in to my urge to play sf4. I’m wondering what console I should get though because Ive been watching a lot of youtube videos and it seems 360 has less lag, less loading and better quality players online.

My name is Fareed and I live currently in Mississauga, ON. I would like to first congratulate the organizers in the previous PWNZ(if i spelled it right) tourni for the great effort and time they invested in organizing this. I personally had alot of fun and met some great people there.
That tourni made me realize that I would love to play and get more experience with other players either in Mississauga or cities nearby. I humbly asking if there are any casuals going around, I would love to participate. They are also more than welcome to come to my house, and if they are coming from a far city, they are welcome to crash at my house as well.
I unfortunately don’t own a console at home and if we having a casual at my house, I don’t mind providing refreshment and even food.
I am usually into SF4 and STHD, I have pretty much learned the game from Brett (psychochronic) and guys like (Jed and kevin). I am really really not into any drama, just getting experience and having fun.

I just started playing SFIV, and am having some troubles learning how to use Chun-Li.
Online I can win 8-10 matches in a row with Ryu, but with Chun-Li I tend to lose them all.
Record with Ryu: 85%
Record with Chun-Li: 30%
Obviously, I must practice more with the lovely thunder thighs. Gotta stay loyal to her!

Hey, my name’s John, I live in Burlington. I’m pretty new here, only skimmed through the forums the last few months but I know this is the place to go if you want to get better.
I’ve been playing fighters on and off pretty much my whole life, only got serious for one or two games and that wasn’t ‘tournament’ serious, sort of just an ‘among friends’ seriousness.
Now that SF4 is out though I’d like to get better, maybe go to some tournaments. I’ve been playing it since release, but I’m not all that good. I would also like to get better at other fighters, but just somewhat casually.
And I guess that’s it, I could say some other stuff I guess but I’ll leave it for now.

He’s been showing me a great deal and informs me that in Toronto we have a very strong tournament scene full of experienced players, so I’m looking forward to meeting a few and partaking in my first sf4 tournament.

Hey guys, I just registered to the site but I’ve been lurking for quite sometime now. This seems like a great community and it seems like I could learn a lot from it.
