how people put this crap out I dont know, this is why new guys starting off get fucked up, and lose any hope of getting bigger when no results happen.

Dissect

Yeah, that’s what I meant.

Yeah. Well, I get some growth, but I don’t get the “Whoa, look at that, I can see each and every different muscle” type results. I assumed doing 9 different things would get the “I can see each” type results.

What’s a compound lift?

I’ve seen MAX OT. You’re a proponent I take it?

When I was finally really serious and concentrated, I got it down to about 33 minutes. Glad to hear that’s good. What about catabolic states? Don’t know that stuff.

Make it up? “Catabolic states” and shit?

Interesting stuff. Any thoughts on this guys?

Anyone?

Running won’t make you any type of muscular. You lose fat, and lose a tiny bit of muscle when you cut. Heavy weights build muscle. Squats, leg press, lunges, etc. You can’t build muscle by running.

For lats:

Lat pulldowns
Pullups
T bar rows
BB rows
DB rows

There are more, but I just woke up, and don’t feel like thinking.

The best way to do cardio is an interval workout.

First you warm up for about 5 minutes. In your case, it would be going from a brisk walk to a light jog. Then, you start to run at a high intensity for 1-3 minutes. Then you run at a moderate intensity (like a brisk jog) for the same amount of time as you ran. Repeat 5-8 times. Then cool down for 5 minutes, gradually going from brisk jog to finish.

This is a very flexable excersize as you can do 20, 30 or 40 minute workouts and it works with all cardio.

Interval cardio workouts burn much more calories after the workout that just going high intensity straight for the same period of time.

Bear in mind, though, that if you want to not lose muscle, you have to lift weights at least 3 times a week. If you don’t lift weights and do any cardio for weight loss, you will lose muscle.

Alright, thanks, but I know a kid who plays tennis a lot and he has some pretty big calves. They’re all muscle and he doesn’t do any weight lifting. It’s cause he runs so much in tennis matches his legs get worked out. I also know a girl on track and she’s got bigger calves than me. I use to do leg press and a couple of other exercises, but running seemed like a lot better alternative plus a way to reduce some BF.

Thanks. I lift 3 times a week any how so it’s cool, I’ll only do the cardio twice a week or possibly 3 times a week.

HEy guys!! I have a question.

How long should I be resting before each set of bench presses (Machine)? I usually wait like 2 minutes before each set.

Is it normal to feel, I wouldn’t say sored, but kinda achy muscles at the end of the week? Like if you lift anything in the house and that something targets one of the muscles you worked out during the week you feel a warm sensation?

Finally someone told me if I had been working out because my chest sticks out :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks in advance.

90 seconds to 2 mins is a good enough rest between sets.

I don’t think I’ve ever gone past 30 seconds between sets unless I had to fill my water bottle.

I take about 90 seconds.

Yeah, 90’s probably best. 2 minutes is max and anything over that might be pushing it.

Thanks guys. I take around 1-2 minutes between sets so I guess that’s good. Those bench presses really take my breath and my stamina, so I really have to charge batteries :stuck_out_tongue:

I need some advice or suggestions.

I feel “dead” sometimes at the end of the last day of excercise for me (Friday) and I don’t know what I can do to motivate myself to do my usual workouts without feeling like, “FUck, not again.” Don’t get me wrong, I love the muscles I see growing and I know they are there because of so much effort. Could you guys give some suggestions as to how to survive that last day?

Also, do you guys have music while working out? I personally couldn’t work out without my main motivation, which is music :stuck_out_tongue: When I see that my cd player’s batteries are dead, I just get so pissed haha.

Of course. I always have my ipod at the gym with me. It’s a Godsend when you’re doing cardio. It gets me through the session.

unless if the retarded gym blast the CD player loudly with fuck up gay music , such as NumaNuma …
seriously , that killed my glycogen instantly and made me feel wasted .

rock , hard metal , power metal , jrock and instrumental rock FTW . fire up that shit !

anyway , i got a fuck up problem and this is very serious . my right arm got permanent damage .

reason , my right arm has been a punching bag for 2 years and got damaged critically doing ‘shot put’ , the iron ball toss , supposed to push it out , not swing .

give me some advice , i can’t do dumbell lifts that trains my right shoulder and trixep . ( i’m still ok with curls)

Rotator cuff issues? Maybe these will help.

Injured right shoulder mostly? I usually might have a bad throw every now and then (Monday I did) so I have to basically lay off any heavy shoulder lifting (like military press). Try not to do any heavy shoulder work for at least 2 days minimum, if it’s really bad, might need a good week to recover so you don’t hurt it again. You might want to stick with machines rather than free weight exercises so you’ll have less concentration on whatever’s damaged.

the pain has already been with me for almost 4 years >___>;;; .
need to check physician i guess

Crap, I thought it was something that just happened recently. Yeah, better go get that sucker checked out cause if it didn’t hurt, you might be able to throw a couple extra feet.
