Doesn’t matter what the name is to me, I despise it either way. :arazz:
now I remember why I stopped posting here
/thread.
Wait, I’m missing something…
why is HIIT on a treadmill bad?
Someone said something about it taking some time to go from high speed to slow speed… why is that a bad thing… it takes about 3 secs on the treadmill I use… isnt that just a little bit of extra work done?
Dangerous? Can you please elaborate? Clients couldnt keep up?
I definately notice that I get tired A LOT faster outside than I do on a treadmill… so outdoor HIIT is my goal, but its just too freaking HOT outside at the moment… I feel like my body will spend a lot of energy just keeping my body cool…
Problem is you have no real control over the actual speed you’re going, the treadmill determines your speed. What ends up happening is that you don’t go 100% effort like you should, because you’re afraid that if you fail, the treadmill sends you into the wall. The fact that you can do 3 more seconds means you’re not going 100% effort.
Totally random question here: but what’s the advantages of taking fish oil pills in the context of weight-gaining/muscle building? I’ve wiki’d “fish oil” and “omega-3 fatty acids,” and all I’ve gleaned from the articles is that it’s good for high blood pressure and maintaining decent cholesterol levels.
Nothing in there as to why it’d be good in a weight-gain/muscle building context.
Why? I’ve heard nuddin but good things about it so far.
It’s just soooooo tiring. I’m exhausted after I finish up a session.
Yea someone please answer dudes question about fish oil caps. I started using em like 2 weeks ago cuz everyone I know recommends them and I gained like 10 pounds the past 2 weeks which is great and the weird thing is I haven’t been eating as much as I usually do. So benefits for weight gain and building muscle?
I though it was mostly for heart health, skin health, and mental health amongst other things
I take it as well…
Fish oil makes your muscle cells become more receptive to insulin, so more sugar can enter and be burned for energy.
So yeah, posted here before about back issues that I’m having a while back… but now they have gotten worse.
But working out quiet a bit, and my back is in quiet a bit of pain. At first I thought I was just sore, but I’m worried that it might be more than just that if running 'cause to hurt my back.
Everytime I work out I make sure I’m straighten and that I do the correct stretches. However, it seems like when I ran I’ve been wearing the wrong type of shoes (I’ve been running in Vans, damn you skateboarding!!).
So I recently bought some running shoes, but right now my back is in so much pain, even running with the new shoes I still feel the back pain. It’s been a good 5 days and my back has been killing me. It seems like it has healed a little, but not very much.
I really wanna start working out again, but in the condition I’m currently in… I’m a bit worried.
So with that said, wondering what are the best ways in trying to treat/heal your back?
I want to heal up ASAP so I can go working out again!
are you overweight??? and by overweight i mean at all…if so how is your weight proportioned, like how is it distributed on your body where does it primarily accumulate…
are you flatfooted??? do you stretch before working out…do you lift weights???

Somewhat.
I got some fat, but I’ve had people measure my fat and its close to “fit” but still in the “average” category.
So with that said, I suppose you can say Yes, but not by much.
Eh? you mean like my balance? >_>
Nope.
Yes I stretch (as mentioned before), and yes I lift weights.
However, the back problems didn’t start getting serious until I did more running than anything else.
As said in my last post, I believe it could be possible by the type of shoes I’m wearing.
However, if its been 5 days and my back is still in pain, I really don’t know what the issue would be.
So yeah, just wondering the best ways to heal your back so I can work out again ASAP.
If one day I get dizzy while playing basketball along with spotty eyes, followed by nausea (vomiting) and a migraine, is it possibly due to not eating enough?
(It’s happened once before in this way, also while playing basketball)
That just sounds odd, but at the same time could be your not eating the right things.
Do you take daily vitamins?
No. I start see spots, and then the headache comes, then vomit. It doesn’t happen too often though…
do you stretch your hamstrings, quads, lower back, abs, upper back before you run??? trying do that thoroughly before and after your run…then ice your lower back after you run…do you do deadlifts or hyperextensions???
it could be your shoes, it could be the way you run (mechanics), do you run on pavement??? on a tredmill, i would avoid the tredmill…
seek a doctor if it still continues imo…

How much do you eat?
x2. Why wouldn’t you be eating enough?
Actually, with that said.
What do you recommend the best stretches in trying to help out my situation here.
Got a link of stretches, or vids?
Actually, yeah…
Ever since I’ve got a membership to the gym, I’ve been using the tredmill a lot.
So with the Vans + Tredmill = I should’ve saw this coming… gah…
And if it does get worse, a doctor may be needed =/
