definitions bro, get it right. Drugs are drugs, and I hate it when people don’t understand that semantics matter in this discussion because it’s semantics and misunderstanding of very basic definitions that keeps things like marijuana illegal. Look at how it’s scheduled, and people actually believe the scheduling of marijuana is well deserved because they don’t understand the semantics of this. If people can understand that alcohol and weed or whatever other substance are by definition, a drug. Then it will go a very long way in the legalization of other substances, and end the war on drugs.
It’s the small shit that matters most in these discussions because it’s the small shit that people are hung over.
examples
Protestants, vs Catholics
Sunni vs Shiite
Socialism
or any other issue
no people dont’ say drugs becasue people don’t associate alcohol as a drug.
I mean
ATF, alcohol tobacco and firearm agency
DEA, Drug enforcement Agency
those signs on schools
this is a alcohol, tobacco, drug free zone
no alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or weapons allowed
no drinking or smoking allowed
or how we describe things, we literally filter and categorize them as two separate categories because society doesn’t believe and doesn’t want to believe that alcohol is a drug
“are you driving under the influence of alcohol andor drugs”
“suspect X was arrested for being intoxicated”
“suspect Y was arrested for being high on drug X”
“are you drunk?”
“are you high?”
“you suffer from substance abuse”
“you suffer from alcoholism”
“you can’t let drugs control your life”
“you can’t let alcohol control your life”
People are taught from a very young age that smokes, and alcohol aren’t drugs, when they are. People believe that and buy that because it’s something people have done for a very long time, so they can’t understand that they are drugs, because drugs are associated with negative things.
And people do say im a chill and get a natural high through excersice/meditate. Talk to somebody who meditates and has done drugs in the past, they tell you it’s like getting high. Or an athlete describing his high, they end up using those words to describe what it is they feel.
Context my ass, scientific categorization comes first before cultural context, because cultural context is ofter wrong and beyond ignorant. To say that those scientific categorizations do not apply because of cultural context is very fucking stupid, and allows for the ignorance that exists, especially regarding chemicals that change and affect your biochemistry.
Yeah, I’ve done that many times to where I sit them down and call people drug users for drinking coffee or drinking beer etc. Once you explain to them what they are doing, what it does to your body, and explain what drugs do. Suddenly they aren’t so opposed to legalization of certain substances because they know have a basic understanding to be able to differentiate and make a much more informed decision.
Only reason people would laugh at you, is because their ignorance levels are of the fucking chart. It’s like when a ghetto negro niggarachii gentleman laughs at you for wearing the same clothers in a month, or not being a gangsta, ignorance.
this is false, they will most certainly still get you high. as your tolerance grows it will just cost more and more to get high until you need to take a break to let that tolerance go back down.
also wax, hash and oil… is all just different ways of making the hash and differentiating which type you want, with hash being the stuff that came out the worst, wax being much better and containing more oil in it and then oil which is well just an oil.
If you are going to try oils and wax just make sure you know who you are getting it from and that they DO NOT USE butane to make it… it’s most easily available and common from oils on the street but it is also terrible for you, track down ones made from alcohol or ethanol.
butane is good problem is that people don’t know their chemistry. If they use x5 filtered Butane, don’t use PVC piping, and instead use copper pipes (they have to keep them clean and dry) or glass, do a vaccum extraction at around 3 pounds while heating it over around 150 F. You get purer cleaner product than any quick wash alcohol extraction. If you want near pure cannabanoid product, you winterize it and then filter out to get shatter. In fact this is the best way to make shatter.
Ethanol is trash in terms of absolute purity because you get way to much chlorophyll and other assorted solubles (you do get more product per extraction though), and it doesnt’ help that they don’t chill it first in a dry ice bath to make the ethanol less polar. Isopropyl is a better alcohol to because it’s less polar, Alcohol is still just as bad as Butane because most still don’t vacuum purge while maintaining proper heat to fully purge the alcohol that’s trapped in the oil. So either way you are smoking impurities.
**
TLDR; don’t buy oil unless you know they vaccum purge over heat, or are total bosses and have a CO2 pressure cooker**
This is the sort of shit im talking about. And why drugs will remain illegal for the forseable future.
i understand its scientific categorization, and i 100 percent respect that, but before this post you were saying that basically no one should be calling themselves anything but drug users, whether its the coffee they drink, or the heroin they shoot into their arms for breakfast. you were basically saying context has no place in reality, people should call themselves drug users, and all the negative connotation behind the word drug has created a bit of a fiasco of people in denial of their addictions to “mislabeled” drugs.
i agree that there is a culture of denial when it comes to the “drugs” people intake that they think are fine because society as a whole doesnt really toss them under the drug umbrella. but…
i can understand if a pot head doesnt want to call marijuana a drug, and throw it under the cultureless umbrella of drugs. the pot head knows that weed is a drug by definition, but he also knows that weed, unlike heroin, cocaine, meth, crack, and speed, has a way bigger, intelligent, and deeper culture then those drugs. there are no crack cocaine cups to see who has the best crack that year. no one casually shoots up heroin with friends in a circle, then go have a nice night out on the town. no one smokes meth to help promote their bodies to heal and or rejuvenate, fighting things like cancer, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, etc… no one puts ask a girl if she wants to smoke a little pcp on their date to loosen up and have a greater time.no one makes a movie about a bunch of fun loving heroin addicts who get into hijinks and bangs hot girls.
you get what im saying. are their functioning heroin users, and cocaine users, who show almost no lost in step in their day to day life, yeah im sure (although i bet few and very far between), and im sure theyre pretty well off financially and are getting some really pure stuff, but overall heroin users are fucking flops of society, spreading and carrying disease, and need serious rehabilitation to get back into the normal world.
so if a pot head wants to disassociate weed from the cultureless umbrella of drugs, for many obvious reasons, then go for it. im sure you think, well when does it end. can a casual heroin user just start a heroin club of functional users and now heroin is something bigger then just a drug, so we then have heroin users who say, heroin is all good man, its not a drug. to that i say, i dont think that will ever happen, ever. even when cocaine and crack was popular, (before crack got the wrap it did, but when it was just a casual thing to smoke some crack) it still never developed any significant culture around it, and most of those users had to either get off it quick, or they went down hard due to the drug.
i have to acknowledge weed is a fairly special drug that i feel i can sympathize with users who want to disassociate themselves from the umbrella of drugs when it comes to marijuana, so when asked if weed is a drug, they say no.
do i consider weed a drug, yeah. the negative connotation of the word “drug” means nothing to me, but can i understand why someone might not want to toss marijuana in the same category as heroin, cocaine, meth, crack, etc… ? yes i can. does that denial of weed as a drug in the minds of the few actually hurt society? i dont really think so. most people still consider weed a drug, a lot of people understand coffee is a drug, almost everyone at this point knows how addictive nicotine is, and is a drug. i think for the most part we are, and always will be clear on what are considered “drugs” in our society, but can a particular drug rise above the rest to maybe redefine itself culturally, well it seems that marijuana would be the first strong candidate for that.
Nah he’s too young for that. In fairness the real culprit is Harry J Anslinger, not the self-styled marijuana Top Gun scientist Pedo from the SRK forums.
In fact, everything he says is the true. He is the true. He only forgot to add a few details when hazeling the winternized magneto shatter in the 1.35x ethonal boofylate. There are some other things as well. You need some fresh chicken blood, a white sheet of A4 paper, and it needs to be dark outside.
DON’T use old chicken blood though, it has to be fresh total BOSS chicken O2 fresh. (It’s useful to be oiled up yourself whilst you’re in the process of, well, making oil. It’s synergism of the oil on oil making a vacuum between your cell membranes and the buddhathane wax formation)
I thought a vacuum filter was basic lab equipment, why wouldn’t niggas have that? Buying hash oil on the streets is not the business, because there is alot of ignorance about how extractions work.
They literally have the process for these things in textbooks, that shit is hilarious. Butane won’t do anything to you in low concentrations(hash oil purified in a professional lab). The traces found in some shit of the street is probably not in that threshold (1% butane solvent, 99% other things), and butane in higher concentrations is known to cause brain damage and smoking something that affects the brain that has butane in it wouldn’t be smart.
