sounds a lot like the harlequin strain that’s been in norcal for a while, during the show weed wars harborside followed a father and his son with this very same treatment to almost identical results. Initially there was talk of the father being removed as a guardian for giving the child “marijuana” which was annoying to constantly explain to people that the CBD oils made by the dispensary and used by the child were vegtable oil based extracts containing 0 thc and only cbd, made a huge splash in the bay area.
I actually still have some from when i was dealing with kidney failure. the uses of CBD is truely amazing, i was able to treat a number of different symptoms from neasae (a word i can’t spell) to lowering my potassium and phosphorus levels between dialysis treatments.
Really exciting to see these types of strains making their way to CO and hopefully WA as well to further dispel the stigma placed on MJ.
great stuff, and only 0.5% thc in the strain itself. i posted a few years ago a documentary about juicing canabis and a girl who basically cured her cancer just from juicing, and she was on the brink of death basically. she went from dying of cancer, AND not being able to have babies, to healthy and good looking, and having a baby. i’ll post it here. share it on your social media sites too.
**LEAF [ The Health Benefits of Juicing Raw Cannabis ] **
All I read in jimmy1200’s post were the words “she cured cancer juicing.” Now, did she juice herself or does it work if somebody makes the person juice? Its important for…research…purposes…?
Real talk though, I’ve never smoked marijuana in my life, recreationally or otherwise. But all-in-all, this is landmark. Some of my friends suffered with epilepsy in high school, one got refused military enlistment because he had one seizure. If this had been around 10 years ago, I know several people this could’ve helped.
I’ve actually strongly supported medical marijuana usage for a long time, because it does have proven medical effects.
Weed to treat, epilepsy, huh? As someone that has it, it’s always nice to see something that might help the unfortunate kids that have to put up with the disease, but the straight-edge part of me is like “I don’t know…”.
Totally support people being straight-edged so long as it remains your personal choice and not one forced on other people. I say this as someone who doesn’t smoke or drink anything.
just dont get a sxe tat. its scientifically proven everyone who does eventually “breaks edge” and then has to come up with some retcon justification for it
The breeders mentioned in the OP are not pioneers. CBD have been around for thousands of years. As of recent years they’ve been pushed forward by Howards Marks and some breeders from resin seeds.
the strain itself has .5% thc which is really low if you wanted to smoke it, but unless i’m mistaken the extracts in this story have had the cbd seperated from the thc. That’s the way it is with the ones i was using.
the children in this state are taking it as a vegtable or grain alcohol extract so it’s a liquid that comes with a dropper… tastes kinda nasty but what medicine doesn’t?
breeding plants with little to no thc content, however, you don’t get all the some of the benifits since the differing ratios between CBD and THC affect your body diffrently…
As a medical plant, this is useful, as somebody who knows people who are “patients” and as somebody who knows the business of weed, this is simply going to be a niche for people who actually want to cure extreme symptoms. This is great for kids, and for people like me who cannot deal with the THC high.
