Start a petition, im sure you can a a couple hundred thousand signatures by the end on the month, that should be enough to $ signs in Capcom’s eyes,
DLC would be nice, but I think a loaded DMC4:SE at this time next year would be better. The DLC would be something you get sick of in a couple weeks anyway. SE could have some good stuff. Yamato as a second weapon for Nero, more moves, maybe a couple more cutscenes. DMC3:SE had a brand new character, turbo, and BP. They should at least try to match that. “Should”.
But why couldn’t they just add that stuff as DLC? I’m pretty sure it’s even cheaper to do that than to release it as a disc. Plus, buying another disc would just piss off the people who already have DMC4. Personally, I think that the technology has gotten to the point that releasing upgrade of games on disc is obsolete, unless the system is getting a complete overhaul or something. DLC is where it’s at.
New stages would be awesome though. It would be awesome to run though DMC1’s stages with DMC4’s battle system…:looney:
So I thought I would take a relaxing stroll through Human mode before starting SoS, and I’m now realizing that it’s harder to S rank in Human than it is in Devil Hunter. The problem comes from the enemies’ lack of vitality. A couple of hits, and they’re all dead, and you’re stuck at, like, Awesome or Brutal.
Also, what’s the best way to meet the orb requirements for each mission? That seems to be the area where I have the most trouble.
Getting orb requirements can be hard without taking more time. Sometimes you need to backtrack into rooms from the last mission and break some more stuff. I’ve completed levels in which I found every hidden red orb on the main path, but had maybe 60~70% total. On the bright side, you don’t need 100% for an S ranking, just high 90s. A lot of orbs are very well hidden now; remember that Dante can triple jump in Trickster with Devil Trigger activated. I’m also not sure if orb requirement includes those dropped by enemies, and whether getting enough S/SS/SSS combos will make up for anything you missed.
Some areas are a bitch, too, like the main cathedral hall with all the chairs and benches that you can’t fucking see without cranking the brightness on your TV. Orb collection isn’t so bad with Dante 'cause he has Pandora, but Nero doesn’t seem to have anything that can cover that much space in so little time. Anybody have some suggestions?
DLC would be awesome, but there’s nothing they can do if the game itself doesn’t support it. Still, I sure hope we see something in the future, whether it’s an added feature for a Special Edition or DMC5. While most Japanese developers have been a bit slow in utilizing next-gen features, Capcom has done a great job with the technology on 360 and PS3. Could be that they were waiting to see how well 4 sold before deciding on what to do next. If we do get a SE edition, wouldn’t shock me if they added the ability to downloaded new content.
I ask about the orb requirements because I’ve been replaying Mission 11, and I end up with bullshit like S, S, C, which leads to a fucking A overall. It’s fucking stupid, and almost all of my A ranked missions have to do with me missing out on fucking orbs and getting scores like S, S, C or S, S, B or some shit like that.
Yeah, I hate that. It seems especially common in the Cathedral levels, where you could, in theory, go back into the 1st floor hallway. But that seems to screw you over on time, so…yeah. But doesn’t Mission 11 covering just the HQ building? I don’t recall there being too many hidden orbs, and none that are impossible to reach without Devil Trigger.
On another note, I’m still mission two Blue Orb fragments. The current Orb FAQ on GameFAQs doesn’t seem to list them, and I’ve done all the secret missions. I’m assuming they’re somewhere that requires a triple jump, but have yet to find out the exact spot.
The FAQ on GameFAQs is correct. I used it the other day to grab three that I missed.
Did you get that effing annoying one in the Mining First Area? During Mission 3 when you go up that large vertical chasm with the Grim Grips there’s 2 fragments.
One is after you reach the top you jump across to the left and there’ll be two more Grim Grips. You get to the second one, then wall kick and grab the hidden third one above you, follow the Grim Grips and there it is.
The other (which is the aforementioned effing annoying one) you climb up to the top of the first set of Grim Grips, then you have to go into the next room, run back and long jump over the edge to reach a hidden room. It’s actually easier to do as Dante when you go back through there, just jump onto the second of the three Wing Talisman platforms, aim south and use Sky Star in Trickster Style.
And you have full life with 20 bars? Hmm, looks like I’ll need to double-check each one in the FAQ. It’d help if it wasn’t written in broken English.
Yup, got both of them.
I’m actually missing one somewhere, too. Hmm.
Here’s a vid showing the blue orb fragment locations. Although, I’m not sure if it’s all of them. If someone else can confirm that, please do.

yep, same here as wel…
Beat the game and unlocked SOS mode. Wow what a great game. I just wish Dante had more play time. He has so much debt to only have like 7 missions. Thank the lord for bloody palace though. This game has a ton of replay value. Gonna start SOS mode and S rank my devil hunter missions at the same time.
I think I missed a Combat Adjudicator somewhere, since I got all the ones in the video, and I can easily keep track of my secret missions. I guess I’ll find it as I go through Human Mode.
I was missing one too until I replayed all the levels, double checking the list on GameFAQs until I realized something. On Mission 12, the first level you play as Dante and have to escape headquarters before it explodes there’s a combat statue thing that you need to destroy for Dante. I overlooked that one because after the hall/entrance (where there were floor lasers originally) where you fight the Angelos you end up leaving the building. Maybe that’s the one you guys are missing too?
That’s probably the one. Where is the statue?
Go to the main hall room where you fight a bunch of Angelos. After you kill them, head to the side door/stairs and go into that room. Go past the lasers by using the device in the middle. My memory is fuzzy, but I think the next room will have the statue in it. The room it’s in is the gauntlet, or more specifically the area where you ride of the elevators multiple times as Nero. The statue will be on the first floor. You only need to get a B rank so don’t feel rushed for time.
:u: Thanks. I had a feeling something would be up there the first time I did that area…
Thanks. That’s definitely the one I’m missing (as well as the one for secret mission 8).
