Thanks to taunting and holding down for charge shot while doing my combos, I’m getting a lot of SSS on DMD mode. But i swear berial is quite annoying on DMD mode. Him and his random sword swings… :\ The same tactic that worked for sos didn’t work for dmd mode. Is there a faster way of beating him?
I finally got around to farming up proud souls, leaving Nero and Dante almost maxed. The only skill I didn’t get on them was Get More Orbs… and god damn that thing costs over 100k now. Gonna get started on Son of Sparda mode tomorrow.
Grab, grab, grab, and when they fall, DT (vs Faust only), combo, and grab.
Hmm, for some reason I’ve been waiting till they were in their weak form to grab them.
I’ll need to try the Devil Bringer more now.
On mission 6 of dante must die mode now. And I must say it is a pain dealing with certain enemies but I’m adapting more and more. That charge shot 3 with nero is too beastly. So much stuff you can set up with it and the damage is great. But yea… the enemies take CHUNKS of life when they hit you now, and the annoying ones like those flying swords (while other enemies are fighting you) always catching you off guard.
Anyone got any tactics against the blitz enemies? I am having trouble on SoS in mission 4. There has to be a way to make em look dumb. Is there? Thanks in advance.
I’m assuming you’re talking about the one in the room with the gyro right? If so, what I did was just spin the gyro and launch it at him. Make sure you hit it so it spins the fastest first. It usually knocks off his electric in one swing or maybe 2. Then just beat him down with DT and then grab him. When he goes red just AVOID him at all cost and watch out for lasers. But when you fight them in other missions just use DT and do like 2 or 3 grabs and some combos and it should finish them off.
Thanks, I was missing this one as well. Now just to get down these effing Secret Missions…
Yup, that’s EXACTLY the one I missed. I just assumed I’d gotten it, when I had forgotten that the normal path doesn’t take you through the Gauntlet.
Make sure you have plenty of Devil Trigger gauge. Once they “cool down” and lose their electricity, three DT’d grabs and one or two slashes should be enough to kill them.
How do you guys mix up your attack patterns? My style gauge always seems to hover around B/A these days.
With Dante I never have a problem staying in S/SS range because i’m always switching weapons and styles mid-combo. I’m in that same B/A range with Nero though. Still trying to get the hang of exceed.
good note mate!
that’s the one too that I missed, Just got that now :lovin:
With dante just keep switching weapons and doing the long combos, without finishning the final hit… Should be easy.
Nero. i use combo #2 alot , the one where he keeps hiting the ground… But instead on useing the finsisher, i luanch them in the air, helicoter combo, grab, slice, slice, slam dunk (if applicable),helm split to the ground. Then the fwd+attack move, then finish it off with his other ground combo… Add a little repeat or thrwo in some other moves and its all good… Your ranks goes up much more when you just keep on doing different things
Dante: gets SSS too easy in sword master
Sorry i dont know the names of these things and im not home to check them but a good combo is…
Rebelion, atack, pause attack, atatck until he does the thousand stab thing, stinger into the thousand stanb thing, then forwad+b for that long preset combo, beofre the baseball swing ender, switch to gila mesh , attack, attack, pause attack until after he does all those kicks, go evil trigger (if you can) then Forward+b for the kick combo with the double kick in the air ender, switch to lucifer while still in teh air, trhow out 6 swords, lock on forward+b, thorw the rose, switch to rebellion when you hit the ground, back+b for the 3 lazer blade waves, while chargeing for that , hold attack to boomerang the rebellion at them after your throw the laver waves at them…
How do you get SoS mode?? do u get it after beater devil hunter?? or he next difficulty after that?
Basically in a nutshell :: DONT DO THE SAME MOVE TWICE IN A ROW. When you become repetitive your style meter plummets. The “style” is basically putting variety in the way you attack, it sounds really basic but its really easy to just go into a mash-a-thon when you play DMC. Exploit this weakness by just doing the same string of moves as long as you dont do them twice in a row.
For instance: Streak - Snatch - IR Combo C - Snatch - IR High Roller - Helicopter - Split - IR Streak - Snatch - Buster - Shuffle - Snatch - Charged shot - Snatch - Buster . .etc
Of course Dante is a bit easier. Gilgamesh and Pandora can SSS in mere seconds! Dark Slayer is SICKENING.
And I bought Combo B and then I sold it back, its terrible for crowd control, and I always do it attempting to do Combo C. Its sluggish and slow, yuck.
Demon_Hyo & Zigmover21 thanks for the tips
Az-Don’t forget to taunt. Taunting while holding an enemy is also nice (not to mention an easy way to beat Secret Mission 3). Since Nero lacks Dante’s ridiculous combos, you gotta mix things up a lot more and that includes Exceed and Yamato (DT). Right now I’m getting the hang of Max Act (instant lvl 3 Exceed), but even normal EX moves help tremendously with building the style meter.
Hitting multiple enemies at once makes S+ rankings much easier. Since Scarecrows die so quickly, a good strat is grabbing one, then grabbing another before attacking.
Then there’s Yamato. One of the main factors in building the style meter is number of hits (hence why getting S/SS/SSS is easier with Dante). Yamato gives you more hits per-move and launches upon activation, even against some enemies that are otherwise difficult or impossible to launch. DT Snatch can also grab more than one enemy.
No prob.
Also, does anyone have a solid way to beat dante on Dante must die mode? (NOT THE 1ST MISSION) He’s crazy hard and only thing that does damage are my grabs but that’s easier said than done.:wonder:
For Nero, having the Max Act skill makes getting into the S-SSS range easy. Lay into them with standard Exceed combos and if your timing is really good it goes from one IR to three. Use Lv. 3 Exceed attack such as Streak on crowd, profit.
If score isn’t a concern, you can just stand on the middle platform and grab him when he jumps up. Nothing he can do to stop you mid-jump, so repeat until he’s dead.
Ah that’s cool. A lot easier than what I just did to beat him actually lol! But I just baited him in with gunshots while he did his with E&B and then grabbed him. Sometimes he wouldn’t doge and when he did I just grabbed him after he did his charge with the sword.
Thanks though. Oh and he did some move with pandora where he put the suitcase on the ground and a huge flash happened and i couldn’t touch him. It owned me cause i was unaware of it. Can he do that move while playing with him?
