Actually, it isn’t. The Blu-ray drive streams DVD data more slowly, but BD has a much higher bitrate than DVD ever will, and the 2x BD drive actually reads at about the equivalent of a 72x DVD drive.
And the PS3 game is on BD.

And capcom didn’t “make up” for anything. Most ps3 games install on your hard drive to load quickly.
I played the demo at a friend’s house earlier today and I CAN’T WAIT TO GET MY COPY TOMORROW EVENING/DAY AFTER TOMORROW AFTERNOON!!
But what’ll be better? Having the console to play it on!.. Yeah… I’m so much of a damn DMC fanboy that I pre-ordered it despite me having a 360 >_> TOTALLY WORTH IT THOUGH!!!

Well I dont own a PS3 so I didn’t know it was such a common thing for PS3 games to install and not just a Capcom or other developers thing.
:u: One quick and final comment regarding console wars (which does not belong in this thread): be wary of where you get your information, as well as the bias of the source (for example, information you get from me will tend to favor PS3), as there is usually a slant.
The information you had is true but ultimately irrelevant. The 360 does read DVDs faster than PS3 can, but PS3 games don’t come on DVD in the first place. Misinformation like that is what people call “FUD” (fear, uncertainty, and doubt), and its intention is to manipulate you and sway your own decision making.

Took that advice. And glad I did. I haven’t had this much fun playing a game in a while. Stringing combos with Nero is Second Nature and all the demons do is step up to get knocked down. For everybody still on dat wait watch, trust me the wait will be worth it. And don’t hate. Be glad your peers are on the come up. Cause tommorow, you will be too. And this thread will be filled with OH SHIT, WTF, and did Nero just do that wicked ass shit come tommorow.

I thought the Gamespot review was good. Was honest about the game, didn’t pick on trivial details.
though at reviewers STILL saying DMC3 was too hard. I liked that about DMC3. It’d been years since a game so willingly handed my ass back to me.

Yeah i actually watched the review on Xplay and just wow it seems they were expecting the combat in the series to change from the usual stylish combos we the fans love and they actually nitpicked that the graphics weren’t on par with Assassins Creed and that the game has too many cutscenes.
Then again i don’t even know why i even bother complaining about xplay’s review considering they gave DMC2 a 4 out of 5.
