When I first found out about the insta-charge, I went into the second mode and just started practicing over and over again since I didn’t have to worry about time. That definitely made it a lot easier to pull off in actual combat.
Well, I can beat timed mode consistently now, so I guess it’s time to practice exceeds while I wait for the game.
So Feb. 5th is the release date?

Man, you guys had me worried. The Japanese release date is the 31st, and I was starting to worry that maybe that was only the ship date. Nope, goes on sale the 31st. Whew! Since I’ve got my pre-reserved, maybe they might let me pick it up a day early…which would be tomorrow! :bgrin:
In other news, Jan 31st is “Wife Loving Day” here in Japan. …I’ve already told my girlfriend to consider me not home for the duration of the entire day. Even if she comes home and sees me sitting on the couch…for all intents and purposes, I’m not home. So while I fail at “Wife Loving Day”…fuck it, its “Devil May Cry Day”, and I’ve got some demons that need smashing.
A good wife/girlfriend will understand this, right?

Well of all the mother fuckers, I’m the mother fuckest. My PS3 died on me…THIS CLOSE to this fuckin game’s release. It’s NOT FAIR I tell you…I’m going to thoroughly cuss out Sears customer service to see what can be done…hopefully to my satisfaction.
I have to start watching combo videos, I’m seriously terrible at em, I pretty much just mash with little ideas of what happens. This is of course why I can’t beat higher difficulties.
I noticed on the last video HERE showing off a huge DT combo that he switches through 3 different weapons. Is weapon scrolling still assigned to the shoulder buttons? I hope not since scrolling through more than 2 different weapons might get tricky.
I wonder if they’ll let you use the D-pad to switch. Here’s what I imagine it would be:
D-pad = weapon select
Hold R2 + d-pad = style select
R3 = gun select
Or something like that. But since I don’t know, I hope it works out.
I imagine they don’t need to change weapon and gun switching. Just keep it on the triggers like it used to be and and have the dpad for the style change.
Well, if you watch the video at the bottom of 1’s link, he switches between three weapons. That could potentially be cumbersome.
