Ya its funny, i posted about the ability to rev while fighting the first moring the demo came out, but noone seemed to have noticed my slighty discriptive post about this ability on page 89:wonder::shake:
But ya, every sword attack can be reved mid battle, ground, air and power attacks… Even reved attacks and be re reved, also you dont have to hit the enemy for the instant rev, you just need the timing to be accurate. So, you can do like 9 hit all reved combos, witch is devastateing.
The timeing for it is: in the frame of the atack animation just after where the sword would’ve made contact… Or you can say, a little earlier than mid swing.
Its badass how the reved attacks change the animation and speed of teh attack, even the regular swords swings change a tad.

It’s probably already been said many, many times, but I concur with anyone that says that they love the demo and can’t wait to play the full game. This is Nero at his most bare bones state, with the most basic of abilities, and there’s quite a bit possible already as it is, so it makes you wonder about everything he can do.

The gameplay is good and the game looks good. Kind of disappointed that Lost Planet looks better.
He DOES have a delay sword combo…and I assume he’ll get atleast a couple more combos seeing as how that’s the only sword. And you know Dante will.
…fucking LOVE this game. I need to get better at just framing but I can always get it on a regular slash…but some attacks I’ve just never gotten it.
Sort of reminds me of Squall/Siefer. They should be secret characters…seriously.

Dante has had the “Stinger Shotgun” since DMC3’s Gunslinger.
Also, I think the whole lock on life bar thing has been in the game since DMC3; it’s just easier to see it now in DMC4.
Is the Gunstinger followup still there? When Dante unloads multiple shotgun blasts at close range on a downed opponent.
So I’ve come thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis close to beating the Berial in timed mode. Then I checked out the other mission and it starts me off in the snow…
If the whole game rocks as much as the demo this could join 2nd Runner as my all time fave action game.

Are you able to link combos from different styles with dante or is there an animation when you change his style?
It looked like he just said “GUNSLINGER!” or “TRICKSTER!” and could just go right into continuing the combo.
I mean isn’t that the whole point of being able to switch on the fly? For flier combos?
After watching those video’s I am tempted to get a PS3.
