Vergil was too cool. I’m hoping for his return as well. Maybe Capcom can really fark with the timeline and have DMC5 take place before 3, with the focus being how Vergil decided he needed more power.
Speaking of leveling up, what’s the best way to get red orbs?
My current method is just to go back and replay Missions 1 & 2 over again. If you get the S rank + the boss bonus you can score approx 10,000 per run, but I’m wondering if there’s a better/quicker way.
Um, level 7 before you fight Vergil in the rain. The room you go in that you ALWAYS see combo vids done in, spawn the white reapers indefinitely as long as the enemies with the coffins are still alive. I fight in that room for hours just because.
I guess that sets the stage for DMC5: Dante’s Judgement.
Maury: And Dante…you are NOT the father!
Dante: jumps up Woo-hoo! Who’s your daddy? Who’s your daddy! Not me, that’s who!
Seriously though, I was thinking about characters and what not - so apparently you play Nero first half of the game, and Dante second half. I wonder if, for the second time through, you can choose all Nero/all Dante? Either Lady or Trish has GOT to be playable. Also, I’m thinking they gotta have alternate costumes like there was in DMC3.
Depending on the type of command inputted, this is a weapon from the demon world that assumes various shapes. After it changes shape, there are various different patterns than the ones introduced here. It would seem that its particular styles are limited.
Argument is the mobile type. It fires several missiles at once and has great destructive power.
Potemic (??? can’t read the katakana) is the bow-gun type. It fires two missiles at once for a powerful impact.
Grief is the boomerang type. With 3 cursed blades in a circular shape, Dante can hurl this at enemies, and it can be locked on for continued damage.
Dante also has two other new weapons by the name of Gilgamesh and Lucifer (???). Kinda hard to read the kanji so I’m not sure what they’re characteristics are.
Good god. Where does he store that large of a case while he’s fighting?
As for gathering large masses of red orbs, I would continually enter the final room and secret mission right before fighting Nevan, which (I think) gets you around 1,500 orbs. Then exit and battle the swarm of enemies in that final room, and re-enter the secret mission again for another 1,500 R.O.s
I got it now: Nero find the Yamato in the demon world, causing Virgil to awaken. Nero doesn’t give it back because the yamato is the only thing that can beat the evil guy, so Virgil gets ANGRY and enters the human world as a giant Nelo Angelo!!!
Not sure what Gilgamesh is,but Lucifer is a weapon kind of similar to Vergil’s Phantom Swords from what I hear, except that they stay stationary and Dante uses a rose to detonate all of the bombs.
