At first, I was kinda expecting Nero to be Dante/Virgil’s long lost brother, but…

Sparda died either before Dante and Vergil were born, or shortly after, since Dante’s mother had to tell them stories of their father when he was young, as said in DMC1.

Then, also when he was young, his mother was killed. As stated by the “You lost a mother and a brother to evil 20 years ago” in DMC1.

For Nero and Dante to be half brothers, Nero would either have to have Sparda as a father, and not Eva as a mother, or the opposite. Sparda was with Eva when he died, so I doubt he actually cheated on her to get some action. Besides, it’s been stated that Nero is fully human, besides his arm. He’d be half-devil if Sparda was his dad. Eva died while she was with her young kids. She wouldn’t have time to go out and have another kid. If she had a kid before meeting Sparda, Nero would be older than Dante and Vergil, which he isn’t.

The half brother thing doesn’t exactly work

it’s so funny that back when dante’s “new design” aka nero was first shown, I was the ONLY person that pointed out that it’s NOT dante and it’s MOST LIKELY vergils son. and it makes me so happy to state that again

My bet is the arm is what’s left of Virgil, and will eventually possess Nero.

but this also sounds very possible

it’s either they want us to be misled till we find out he actually is vergils son OR vergil possesed some kids hand and got officially pissed off when nero locked his bedroom door that night

So is the xbox 360 gonna have the same option to get rid of load times? I could care less about 5 gig on my 120 gig hard drive and I may end up getting an 80 gig ps3 later but, I don’t plan on downloading anything along the lines of movies.

5GB isn’t much when pretty much everything you download on PS3 measures up to MB or smaller from movies, trailers, entire music albums, downloaded games, anime episodes, themes, etc. I doubt anyone with a PS3 doesn’t have 5GB or more than that to spare. I have the 60GB version and I have 45GB left and tons of crap on it including 7 games plus 4 downloaded games.

DMC4 will rule on both platforms! (Don’t give me an infraction please! )

Nero’s too old to be Vergil’s son. According to Kobayashi DMC4 takes place about 10 years after DMC3, (DMC1 and the anime are in the middle) which is used to explain Lady’s age in 4. So Vergil’s son, if he had him by DMC3 would be ten. If he had a child earlier than that, well we are talking about playing doctor in elemantary since both he and Dante are really young in DMC3. I suppose if he had a kid in hell of sorts they can always go with a Marvel Illyana Rasputin “time goes faster in hell” explanation but I dunno seems too bizarre. Course who knows. Arg, can’t wait to play…

Yeah, 5GB is nothing. I have that much in porn stored on my PS3. Yeah, its different, but this is a new generation of gaming, things change.

“Shall Never Surrender” is a great track. I was listening through the OST and i noticed that it is missing some music. There was a song playing during the Tutorial. That was one song that wasn’t on the OST.

Well, the OST came out in Japan in December last month. If at least one computer-savvy person picks it up…the whole world is bound to have access to it.

It’ll probably have HD caching that’ll alleviate some of the load times. I’m not sure if it’ll be as efficient as having the game installed but I really don’t think a 2-3 second discrepancy will affect anyone but the most picky loadtimeophiles.

I think we may see the DMC 4 demo this week or next week at the latest. It’ll give Capcom ample time to get some more pre-release hype going.
