PS3 owners! Since Custom Themes are now available to use, m0dus from the NeoGAF forums has made a DMC4 theme. And it looks amazing.

You have to upgrade the latest update on PS3, the one they tossed up last week and then you go to Themes, it is all the way to the left on the menu, under Systems I believe. I’ll walk you through it as soon as I get home, give me a couple of hours from now. THIS IS AWESOME! :lovin:

Oh and that orange information bar in the right corner that looks like a pill is hella annoying IMHO but you can turn it off…
EDIT: Yeah peeped that site and all you have to do is download the link when you are online on the PS3 and there you go. Of course you will have to do it after you upgrade to 2.0. I’ll go into more detail later but that is the gist of it.

I think the ps3 is getting the shaft by video game developers so far. I mean I was going to get a ps3 for RE5 and then it went multi-platform. I was thinking “no biggie, still need a ps3 for DMC4” and then BAM! that goes multi-platform too. I wonder if there’s going to be any real difference between the 360 version and the PS3 cause at the moment I’m not getting a ps3 in a long time.

You have to remember that platform exclusivity isn’t important to the developer, it’s only important to the platform creators itself. Capcom realizes that there’s a lot more money to be made on a A title like DMC4 or RE5 if there’s more than just one console to play it on. That’s why RE4 went to the PS2 almost a year after it hit the Gamecube. It sold balls on th eGC but Capcom realized they could sell 1,000,000+ more units if it was also available on the PS2.
So what happened? Like 6 months later PS2/RE4 went Greatest Hits. Money.
I also think of it as good customer service for fans who can’t afford a few hundred dollars to purchase a whole new console just so they can play one game. Sure the fans would eventually find other titles to play on it but I’d rather spend $60.00 on DMC4/RE5 then spend $400.00 on a PS3 after I’ve already purchased an XBox 360.
The only reason why I was going to buy a PS3 was for RE5, DMC5 and R&C4. Now all they have left is R&C4, and that consoles not worth $400.00 for one exclusive.
Uncharted looks amazing. You might want to look into that.

Uh? RE4 didn’t sell ‘balls’ on GameCube… it sold 1.6 ~ 1.7 million worldwide… the PS2 version sold 1.9 million worldwide.
Guess for us it’s good but for the ps3 and sony it’s pretty bad. Unless they come up with a really good game that is ONLY on the ps3 I don’t see myself getting one anytime either that or they make the games on their system have more “stuff” like the ps2 version of RE4 had that awesome PRL gun.

Three new videos are up on Gamersyde. Keep in mind that they’re from the lastest build of the demo. It’s a lot smoother now. Not to mention the player is rather decent.
Nice, glad the battle music still has good texture and those low demonic lyrics… The effects and animations look awsome… And from that 10 minute time limit i saw on teh first 2 vis, i hope we’ll be geting a demo soon on XBL:sweat::sad:
