Hey its a new version of the TGS trailer on IGN, its the last new video. It show extended gameplay of a BUNCH of new enemies.
The jungle stage looks hot.
Things to note from IGN’s progress report.
- Dante has a weapon called “Lucifer” which gives him metal wings that fire out blades.
- Dante has a weapon called “Pandora’s Box”. Basically its a suitcase full of extremely powerful weapons. A meter has to be charge to use the weapons though.
- As seen in the concept art in the OP, Nero can summon a spirit which can increase his powers. He is summoned through Nero’s Exceed system (Weapon charging).
- When Nero’s exceed meter increases, the attack become much more powerful and exaggerated.
- Both characters are played in the main game mode. You won’t switch off between the two. (Keep in mind that the level select option is still available)
- Loads of extra content.
- PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are virtually identical.
Fuck DMC. This series fell off after DMC1.

It looks like the PS3 will get something a little extra afterall. Also, a demo will eventually be made avalible.

More like it stumbled once DMC2 came out and got its act back together with DMC3.

the gameplay is essential the same, its just the retarded over the top cutscenes they started using in DMC3.
I wouldnt doubt it. It’ll be the same demo most likely tweaked from E3/TGS
which is GOOD since I want to play it myself. . but we have literally seen the entire demo more than once.
at any rate the game comes out in Febuary. . so that means we should get the demo within the next 2 months?

Out of ANYTHING you could ask for int his game . .co-op? Jeez. And then the captions on some of the pictures are incorrect. Talking about the devil bringer, with a picture of Dante wearing gilgamesh.

Got my issue of Play magazine through the mail yesterday so I’m not sure if it has hit the stores yet but there’s a major interview with DMC4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi in there. My favorite line was with regards to the DMC anime that I liked a lot. Hey it’s officially part of the storyline now! :lovin: He comments on the timeline below but in previous interviews he has stated that 2 takes place after 4, even if he doesn’t stress it this time.

A: A long time, yes. The continuity goes DMC3, DMC1, DMC4…

A: They actually meet each other for the first time in the DMC anime, which takes place after DMC1 but before DMC4. As far as their looks, Trish is a demon so she doesn’t age (laughs). Lady didn’t have an official age in DMC3, but we thought of her as being in her teens. When you see DMC4’s Lady in motion, I think you’ll notices she’s definitely an adult, she’s much sexier-in her late 20s. *

Swung by Gamestop today and took some time to look through the reserve book. They are still not taking reserves for Metal Gear Solid 4 WAAAAH! :crybaby: Anyway, I noticed that they are taking reserves for a DMC4 Collecter’s Edition. I don’t know what the hell that is but I canceled my old reserve for the OG DMC4 and put down for a reserve for the Collector’s Edition. Hope I get something good! :woot:
The new date they had for it was February 5 I believe. The OG reserve date they had for it was January 1 which of course was a BS place holder date. “HAPPY NEW YEAR AND WE JUST RELEASED DMC4!” Shyeah right… Still, I wish we had a place holder date for MGS4 already. :bluu:
Is there any word on how the sixasis is going to be used in the PS3 version yet? I wanna reserve ASAP, but I’m torn between getting it on the 360 with a controller I don’t really wanna use, or getting it on the PS3 and using the motion sensing which I really don’t wanna use.
Still no word on how sixaxis is going to be used on the PS3 AFAIK. If I were to take a guess, it will probably be something minor like how Marvel Utimate Alliance used it so it doesn’t differentiate too much between the 360 and PC version. Just a guess though.
