I don’t think Bison is that great in SFIV, so any buffs he gets is awesome. The only way to combo his current ultra is from a jumping medium, and that sucks big time.

Bison is upper mid tier even without a viable ultra. With a really good ultra he has to be at least A tier.

The problem with roses ultra is the setups we were doing would not cancel into the ultra.
Its severly limited because the two orbs spin around her but dont do anything. You cant even throw them in essence. She also is unable to use aura spark against them.
Honestly. Compared to sham-wow, orby protector is a poor ultra unless two things happen. It does hlt damage (cause right now its terrible) and it does more hits or something. Its one saving grace is the orbs armor break.
Gen gets a pretty nice new set of ultras too.
We’ll see what happens when the game comes out and someone maining these characters with “poor ultras” will show us their utility.
from a video i just watched, I’d be a little weary about Rose’s #2 Ultra. When it Hit Ryu it looked like it was doing fierce punch damage. It stuffed his tatsu, she was still able to throw soul sparks, and based on the hit stun Ryu was in when he got hit you can definately combo into it probably into whatever the QCF+K move is. Or maybe even Orb hit, normal to another orb hit to low strong QCF+K?
Again we’ll have to wait till the game comes out…but I’m more interested in maining Rose now.

i think they were goin for something like oros tengu stone, without it being hella crazy. we all have to remember, ultras arent a way to win. this isnt 3s where we build bar to hit confirm a super. if youre beasting, then you probably wont have that chance to ultra. its an extra tool in the arsenal and if its good or not will be up to the player and what situations hes in and how he can apply it.
