Juri is strong right now. Lots of mixup and cross ups
roses new ultra is garbage. Its calledsoul sattelite. It creates two energy balls around her, like striders sattelite from marvel, but it does shoot and lasts from 5 seconds (half ultra) to 15 (full).
The dissipate if shes hit or on block
It could be pretty buff in some situations. In a clutch situation, you could shoot fireballs without a real fear of someone jumping in on you. I think it’s pretty cool.
In other news, Vega’s Ultra is amazing, and does great damage, and really good chip. Unless Bloody High Claw gets some sort of amazing buff, I’ll probably only use it in certain match-ups. Guess we’ll see though. ; )

I love how everybody is the total authority on whether or not ultras are garbage or not. Theory fighter for the win.
So I was thinking, Bison’s new ultra seems to be the buffest one if it has the properties I’m thinking it does. If it actually is a head stomp, then it would eliminate fireball game immediately after you get utlra because of how fast it is. It was so fast I couldn’t even notice it was a head stomp both times it was activated. Also, it does really good damage. Bison was already a pretty good character I really don’t think he needs an ultra that’s too buff. I’m sure it has something dumb about it that ruins it though lol

I would just like to chip in and say I’m extremely hyped about this ish right now, and Tiger Cannon is really looking ill. Juri’s Feng Shui Engine renewed my hype in her too. I’m really not trying to play like 4 characters in this game but its making it really hard on me.
Edit: So Sagat has a new special performed by 2xQCB + P. It apparently powers him up until he uppercuts, in which that specific uppercut if landed does double damage. And I hear forward roundhouse x2 is still in at this point. Murder
He had the tiger uppercut power up in the Alpha series.

According to Eventhubs though, Sagat’s Tiger Uppercut damage and vitality got nerfed. Of course, I take these numbers with a grain of salt when there’s 4 months left in the development cycle.

*It’s a QCF x 2 motion
*It is indeed a headstomp, but it activates in front or behind the opponent
*It can be controlled to reach full screen
Ok so IMO Bison’s new ultra is looking like it alone will move him up a bit in the tier list. Bison’s amazing from close range because of his rush down potential and amazing normals. It’s full to mid screen where he has problems. The only way for players to keep you out is by fireball spacing, because a smart player will only throw fireballs when you walk forward and lose charge. Well, now you can get back in for free right when you have ultra because you can walk forward and input it. Plus, if it hits full screen and activates in front or back then not only could it be an ambiguous cross up gimmick but it can punish full screen fireballs (maybe with a dash). Oh and it’s an over head.
Bison was already a super solid character, with this, he’s about to be one of the best. Even as a Bison player I feel this new Ultra is a little OP. Oh well, thanks capcom.
Here’s the big question:
Can we combo into it w/o using jumping strongx2.
lot’s of ideas are flowing through my mind right now the big one being since it looks like it is pretty damn fast:
low forward psycho crusher FADC headstomp ultra
is it fast enough to punsih whiff grabs (like EX headstomp?)
jumping strong for one standing fierce to fadc forward or backwards to ultra for an ambiguous reset?
IS IT FREAKING APRIL YET!
Don’t worry about that kind of thing yet. You never know how it is actually going to play out. On paper, every character is broken.

Rose’s 2nd ultra does not suck. I see some huge potential in this. You could probably link off that shit easily. The guy in the vid was just retarded and didn’t do anything even though he had a full movelist of shit to link off those balls, and then he had the idiocy to complain about the damage? Are players just getting dumber?

Seriously, are they getting dumber? Because this petition to remove counter ultras is so sickening it’s giving me AIDS. They’re complaining that the ultra startup animation will ruin counter ultras. They’re complaining because they can’t trick anyone with it because you have to do the ultra with reversal timing or they’ll just stop attacking once the animation comes out. How is that any different from normal ultras? Tick damage? Because you sure as fuck aren’t going to hit a normal ultra under those conditions either. And now they have the gall to suggest it should be “stealthier” than normal ultras. Hell fucking no, tossing out an ultra - ANY ultra - when the opponent isn’t doing shit deserves to let that animation come out and expose your reversal failing ass. Some people just can’t wrap their heads around the concept of a move that completely requires reversal timing. And to start a petition for that reason… ugh.
