I’ve been running Joe starter/Storm/Zero for the past two days. I really like the team, but I’m not quite sure about Joe. He’s probably my 2nd best character out of the 3, but his range is bad and his projectile game is mediocre, and his assists are all pretty blah so I just stick with voomerang. Shocking pink feels like I dont know if I’ll be assisting the opponent or me… When he gets in though, he gets it done though. Even though I’m a noob, it feels pretty cool when I do a ground combo into mach speed into air joe into desperado or something else. But it feels like youre forced to save Joe for when you aren’t getting camped, and then mind you the 99 seconds where youre taking chip as joe getting nothing done.
If I decide to run Zero/Storm and need a 3rd, what do you guys suggest? I am a noob, but I like to think I learn fast. I’ll be playing a lot, and if anyone wants to play games online if you just wanna wreck me or whatever, that’s cool too. Send a message though if you do request me to play. hM Jem
Kinda dropped chun-li for Dormammu, using Sent/Storm/Dormammu right now and I’m feelin it way more at the moment. Chun-li has good rushdown but Im not sure if she was right for the team. Now I can play a mean keepaway and hit and run style game.

Felicia/Akuma/Trish
I’m still a little unsure about Felicia. I like her range, speed and her super where she calls out the mini version of herself. It just opens so many ways to get in with assists. Although, I hate to say it, I’m thinking of replacing her with Sent. He’s just too buff.

Still trying to get used to the button layout & fuck having to hold down the assist to switch out…Sometimes i think i didn’t switch out thinking my assist came out instead…Also what the hell is that small ass inch of life at the end…That is some bullshit…The stages in this game really sucks too…
Here’s the story: Yesterday, I got hit with Wesker’s Hyper when I was Sentinel, the one where Wesker bounces everywhere, so my health drops to the “one pixel”. I get hit 4 MORE TIMES before the Hyper ends, I’m like “Well that’s that” but NOPE, I’m still alive:rofl: I was able to tag out Sentinel and just spam Unibeam with the from across the screen for the rest of the match. I won but, I actually felt bad.

I’m liking the game a lot so far. I currently only have one character I am sure will be on my team and thats Dante. Other possible are Phoenix and Trish.
I’m having mad trouble trying to lock down a team I wanna use. It’s all a hodgepodge between X-23/Zero/Phoenix/Morrigan/Dormammu right now. What sucks is besides X-23, everyone has mediocre assists. Gotta do some deep “soul searching” for the next few days haha.
My best business team right now is Morrigan/Sent/Doom, and randomly use Arthur/Morri/Sent. But this weekend I plan on investing in learning some new characters. If anyone local wants to add me on XBL my name is Julius Blaze there.
So, I just played a 20 game set with Ghrrk and it was ridiculous! He played Sent/Storm/Dorm and I played Mag/Wolvie/Phoenix for the whole set. I play rush down and he plays defensively. We finished the set at 10-10. lol
My verdict… this game is pretty balanced. Sent makes me salty because he has to do much less work to get much more damage but I made a few 3-1 comebacks with Dark Phoenix so I can’t complain. You can play rush down or zoning and win as long you have the execution to do so. Great matches Ghrrk. We’ll definitely do it again soon.
Also, if you guys want a longer write up on the set, I can do one. I think Ghrrk and I are above average in this game so far and it might help some of you with match up knowledge. Just let me know I guess.
Phoenix Reborn + lvl 3 x-factor is pretty nuts. You’re not gonna block that shit lol. Only thing I dont like about phoenix is how much fucking fire surrounds her when she does stuff, I can’t even tell what she’s doing. Sentinel feels like he gets countered by wolverine. But I need to up my AA game. GG’s Shred.

I totally agree. Dive kick punished a lot of Sent’s best tools. I didn’t realize it until like game 10 because I was trying to use Mag the whole time. but ya So far, Wolvie is a Sent counterpick.
Layout and it’s weird because I’m still thinking that It’s SF4 and I’m trying to mash out short at times. Oh well, it just takes time to get used to it.
Are you guys just using a lot of the combos from the mission mode, or have you had much luck coming up with your own?
