We need more Hip-Hop heads in Seattle

We should all rap on this thread. Or battle. Or set up live emcee battles. That would be dope. What do you think?

no thnx

Seattle son. Not Beaverton.

hands clappin my mouth rappin you hear the buttons tappins means my bison’s straight trappin, bitches need to stop yappin and get that booty clappin, cause bitch i’m rappin, i’m your maker i’m your god got these fools screaming jihad nigga.

Last part straight jacked from yavonte but i had to do it

oh right your bad

Don’t tell me this is because of mine and Jacob’s now never-ending rap battle? Neither of us is gettin’ KO’d this millenium!

Well, it was a suggestion from Preppy and I thought I’d start the new thread. Plus, I’m sure we can debate emcees and/or producers in here. I haven’t thought of anything to say yet really. But I’m sure I will.

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 is the truth. Dilla + Wu = Awesomeness.

Maaaan I like the album. Honestly, I do. But…

I’ve been listening to OB4CL 1 since it’s release over 10 years ago. I actually still listen to that album. Hopefully this new one can stand the test of time. The wheel of fate is turning…

Why is Meth so buff on this album and NOT on Blackout 2? WTF!

So I stumbled on this thread while listening to KRS-One. Anyone else here a big fan of BDP/KRS. I’m listening to atm and it’s easily one of the sickest songs ever with Primo on the beats and KRS in preach mode(“My title you will never get I’m too intelligent”). Who else can relate hip hop to military weaponry(“Hoping your defense mechanisms can divert my heat-sinking lyricism”). I don’t think there is a rapper as creative as KRS. Feel free to argue.

Well, to be an emcee you have to be creative. I don’t disagree that their isn’t a rapper as creative as KRS, but I think if it on terms of his originality.

Who stands out on my creative list? Off the top I would say ODB. (RIP). He’s not on the top of my list but he does stand in my GOAT list.

I’ve never heard of fans of hip-hop refer to themselves as “hip-hop heads”. Your parents hippies? Metal heads? Head bangers? This thread’s too white for me.

Oh no you didn’t know, I’m Mike B and I got the sickest flow

You will be greatly missed, sir. :xeye:

Hah, I was just listening to ODB on my way home. And yeah I totally agree with you, I don’t think there will be anyone who can be on ODB’s level of…well being ODB. I don’t know about you but I prefer Nigga Please over Return to the 36 Chambers. Granted they are both great albums that are not for everyone. But I guess what he did best was be completely different from everyone else. Just listen to Cracker Jack or Rollin’ Wit You…lol

Will Smith

Honestly, I thought the whole point of the free-styling in the Negro Thread was that it was just a little bit of benevolent trolling. Evidently Preppy got annoyed with it when it ate up an entire page (and I can understand this), but… I just scroll through it! You know?

It’s not like there haven’t been other times where the Negro Thread is completely garbage for pages and pages. No quality control is exactly why the thing is at 500 pages now. You’ve got to take the good with the bad, the nipple-hair posts along with the rapping.

Personally, I’d much prefer that rapping stay in the Negro thread, as long as people can limit themselves to a maximum of ONE flow every day or two. And that’s coming from a hater who will probably not even read it!

But what the hell do I know, anyway.

Ever been to a hip-hop show? How about an underground hip-hop show?

I’m not white.

Obviously the greatest album in the last twenty years with nothing but bangers and bonafide hood classic status is Macho Man’s “Be a Man” album. If you roll with your crew hittin’ switches down MLK with this shit bumpin’ out of your JL W7s everybody knows you don’t play. Frontin’ ass marks look the other way because there is no way they can see you. Bitches get mad horny in the presence true and ultimate manliness. The album is complete in every way possible. Most of what people consider “classics” nowadays are severely mistaken.
